Review: My wife and I contacted a company of which we thought would be able to help us modify our existing home mortgage rate. We were put into contact with [redacted], with contact information being [redacted]| Loss Mitigation ExpertReal Estate Law | Consumer Debt Relief | Foreclosure PreventionToll free: ###-###-#### Ext. [redacted]Direct #: ###-###-####Fax #: [redacted]Email: [redacted]We were working with them over the process and after receiving our first payment of $1,100 we were informed that our Mortgage modification was complete and to stop paying our usual payment to Wells Fargo. Shortly after we started getting contacted by Wells Fargo asking why they haven't received out monthly payments. We explained to them that we have finished the process of modifying our loan and that the new company must be in the process of finishing their work. Approx 3 months later we received a foreclosure notice from Wells Fargo, and we knew we had been scammed. We were able to work with Wells Fargo and stay in our home. We consider ourselves very fortunate and would like to help others avoid this type of situation. We would like any assistance we can ask for in getting our families money returned to us. If it not possible to get our money back, we would rest better knowing we did what we could to bring light to this companies fraudulent practices. Our payment went to FINKELSTEIN AND ASSOCIATES LAW GROUP, P.C. D_ [redacted]Main Phone: ###-###-####. Review: To Whom It May Concern:

On September **, 2013 I entered into an agreement with Finkelstein & Associates through NMA Legal-Network. This agreement was to help facilitate a mortgage modification with Bank of America. I was charged $3,400 in order to help us deal with all the back and forth paperwork.

Shortly after the process started, I was informed that the main lawyer on my case passed away and I was now being represented by Meaney & Meaney PC, Attorneys At Law, [redacted] (Main Office Phone: ###-###-####).

On December **, 2013, Bank of America sold our loan to Bayview Loan Servicing. The second week of January 2014 I was told that a modification package was sent to Bayview on our behalf. Bayview continued calling us requesting a call back. When I finally spoke with the company, they said there was no modification package on file for our account and that no one had reached out to them on our behalf. I followed via phone message and email with both companies: NMA-Legal network and Meaney & Meaney to ask about the status of our modification. No one returned my phone calls or responded to my email. Below is the email that I sent.

At this point I have no other recourse than to think I've been scammed. I am currently working through the modification process directly with Bayview, but I want to be reimbursed for my $3,400 since nothing was done on my behalf.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Good Afternoon,

I hope you are doing well. I wasn't sure where to direct my question so I apologize for sending it to everyone. I understand that a loan modification package was sent to our current lender, Bayview Loan Servicing a few weeks ago. I just wanted to follow up on the status.

I talked to Bayview Loan Servicing today, and they said they do not have a modification package on file for us. Here is the contact information for the [redacted] that I spoke with about our account:

Please advice on the best way to proceed at this time.
