letter, Thereafter, the client retained my office on January 9, 2017, again receiving another copy of the retainer letterA copy of said fee agreement was provided to the client to which he acknowledged that he understood and agreed with said termsAfter agreeing to said terms, the client paid the retainer by credit cardA copy of the retainer letter is attached for review.On the same day I spoke to the client on the phone for fifteen minutesThereafter on January 10, I prepared the divorce complaint and proposal letter to send to his wife and emailed a copy of all documents to the client for his reviewThis was done at his directionThe client then e-mailed my office on January 12, stating that he was in the process of reviewing the documentsThe client then contacted my office again on January 31, via emailA copy of the invoice is attached for review.Thereafter, the client contacted his credit card company to refute the retainer fee that he had paidPer the credit card company, the amount was returned to him since he never initialed the line item amount that states how much he was payingAs there was work done on the client's case, my office sent the amount of $to collections as this was work that was performed and now never paid on.Should the client pay to my office the sum of $333.25, the account would be removed from collections as paid in full.Sincerely,Melissa Montgomery, Esquire

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  The collections agent asked for the entire $1500, which I would not pay. I was never sent an invoice for actual work done, she sent it straight to collections. I am more than happy to pay her for actual work performed and have directly emailed that response to her office. I requested an actual invoice for hours worked and told the office I would respond to it when I returned home from my daughter's wedding. Had she sent an invoice to me for actual work performed, this would have been avoided.
