On February 19, 2018. I gave them a $200 deposit for them to represent me in the bankruptcy case I wanted to file, but she made it very clear that they would not be able to do anything in my case including filing my bankruptcy with the courts until I paid the full amount of $335 for the court filing and $1,200 for the attorneys fees for any work that they would be doing in my case. Unfortunately I was unable to proceed due to lack of funds. So on March 29, 2019, I went to the attorneys office to notify them that I would no longer be filing a bankruptcy and no longer need it there services, I spoke to a lady by the name of Elizabeth *** and she stated to me that they had closed by account a long time ago since they could not get a hold of me to find out if I was going to continue with the filing or not, she went on to say that they had done a lot of work in my case by trying to contact me and sending me letters and contacting my creditors but when I ask for proof of what she was claiming she was unable to produce any documentation and just said that it was on file with them so I ask again to please provide me with a itemized summary of their work and the cost associated with it and she again said it was on file not willing to give me a copy of it. , I then asked her if they had send me letters to show me copies of what they had sent me if in fact that was the case and and because I had never received not one letter from them and she went on to say that it was on file but could not even produce not one letter from my file. So I ask her how much of my $200 dollars I was going to be able to get refunded to me and she said nothing because they had done a lot of work for me and that they owe me nothing but if that was the case why couldn't she provide me with a itemized summary of the work and cost so at least I know that in fact they did do some work in regards to my case. I just want was is fair and for them to provide records of their work and my refund if any.
