We obviously want any transaction to go smoothly and every customer to be happyUnfortunately sometimes things happenWe sold an exercise machine to this customer that has to be shipped freight on a palletIt is a very expensive to ship this itemWe fully test each item before we ship itIt is
strapped to the pallet, wrapped in cardboard and the cardboard is wrapped with black plastic pallet wrapThe machine arrive to the customer and the customer called us to let us know that there was a problem with the inclide on the machineNormally we schedule a technician to go out and service the machine at the customers address to correct any issuesThis buyer would not let us do that, they simply wanted to return the machineThe customer didn't care that we would loose $simply shipping the machine backThe buyer opened a return case with eBay during this time and we have a certain time frame to complyWhich we didWe agreed to pay to have the machine returned and set up the return freight delivery and provided the return shipping labelIn order to ship these machines for the best price possible, the shipping arrangement with UPS Freight requires that the machine be shipped from a private residenceWe let the buyer know this, that the machine would need to be picked up from his home and the same address that we shipped the machine toThen for some reason the buyer moved the machine from his home to is work address which made the shipping label not be validI don't know if the buyer thought he was helping us or UPS out by taking it to a business address, but unfortunately that didn't workWe let him know that the machine needs to be moved back to his home for the pickupI'm sure moving this large and heave machine around was a hassle, so I don't know why he moved it in the first place especially since we let him know that it had to be picked up from the same address that we shipped it toBecause of the problems the eBay return request timed out and was closed in our favorOnce we provide the return approval and provide the return shipping labels, etcthe buyer only has a certain amount of time to return the item and if they don't then eBay finds in our favorSo the case was closed in our favor by eBayThen at some point the buyer contacted UPS Freight and had the machine shipped back to us with the label that we providedThe machine was just delivered back to usThe buyer now has opened a claim with Pay Pal for a refundWe have just verified the machine and found that the incline issue was a simple issue that was easily fixed and could have been corrected had the customer allowed us to send a technician to his home to fix itIt probably happened while the machine was being shipped from us to the customerWe have contacted Pay Pal and approved the refund to this customerThey have been made whole financiallyI'm sure its been a hassle for the buyerIts been a hassle for us tooHad the buyer allowed us to repair the machine it would have been less of a hassle for themIt would have not been a $financial loss to us eitherSo now no one is happyUnfortunate that it played out like it didIt could have been different, but we only had control of things on our end

We are a liquidator and everything is sold AS-IS. The soundbar shelf worked, but the customer wanted to return the item because it did not come with mounting hardware. It was explained to the customer that was one of the reasons why the item was sold at 1/2 our regular price (which is already deeply...

discounted). We were willing to help the customer resolve his issues within our policies, however the customer was yelling, aggressive, and was making a scene. I guess the customer believed that if he made a big enough scene he would get us to make an exception to our policy. The customer was asked to leave the store, but he refused. Unfortunately it was necessary for us to call the police and have them remove the customer from the store. Not the way we would like any customer interaction to go but we are only in control of our end of any situation. Had the buyer kept their calm and been willing to take responsibility for their decisions, we would have been happy to help the buyer figure out a solution to mount the shelf and it could have been a positive resolution and resolved the issue that the buyer had.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
To clarify, we took the machine from our home because the packaging was not sufficient. We did not take it to our job. We took the machine to Freighters and Craters to repackage the 368lb machine to ensure that it would safely transport. We did not feel that it was fair to us to spend $1200 for a machine that did not work within 2 weeks.
Sincerely,
[redacted] And [redacted]
