am responding to a complaint that was submitted on 9/2/2014. at 11:42 which was assigned an ID of ***
The customer was in and ordered two biscuits and gravy. She ate half of one of the biscuits and gravy and told the waitress it was not to her liking and would not eat it. The waitress in replied and ask if she would like anything else and she responed no.
When the waitress told me the manager about the situtation we did a quilatiy control on the biscuits and the gravy. Both where found to be to our standard and nothing wrong with them. So when she come to the til to pay I told her Im sorry the biscuits and gravy where not to her liking, but she would have to pay from them because it was her taste, not the standard of the food. She then turn to all our other customers and ask them if they didnt like the taste of something if they would expect to pay for it, and the response was yes of course, because it was just not to their likingI felt this was disrrupted to all of other customers and their experince at our restaurant. Which was at the time at least people.
I then said to her that if there was something physical wrong with the biscuits and gravy I would have not charged her for them and gave her a different meal in return free.
There was a cop from a different county that was dinning and he said to her she was in the wrong and needed to pay her bill. So she then asked me if she needs to make any more of a scene to get the meal free. I said to her you need to pay for it. She gave her credit card to me, I charged it. She asked for a copy of the credit card and detailed copy from the til. I gave them to her. Then she told me she would take care of it in her own way.
I told her thank you and to have a good day. She replied yeah right
I also want you to know we have served plenty of other biscuits and gravy that day and they all had great reviews

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do not accept the response made by the business to resolve this complaint for a number of reasons. 
It is appalling that the manager insinuates that I was simply looking for a free meal.  I am married, my husband and I have 2 kids, and we both have professional careers in supervisory positions.  I can pay my way.


The manager states that a quality control check on the biscuits and gravy was made.  An experienced manager that cares about the customer would communicate this information to the customer afterwards in an attempt to resolve the complaint.  This was communicated to me at the cash register and only after I stated that I would not be paying for the biscuits and gravy.  I was more than happy to pay for everything else.  This is the reason why I asked for a copy of the detailed receipt after paying my bill in full.


I turned to one customer behind me waiting to pay her bill and asked her if she would pay for a meal that made her gag.  She said, "Yes, of course."  It was not a group response as the manager tries to insinuate.


It was after that when I did ask another table of customers for their opinion and a gentleman simply stated, "That is a decision you have to make for yourself."


The manager states that a cop from a different county was dining and he said that I was in the wrong and needed to pay my bill.  This is a lie.  Nobody said anything like that to me and if the one gentleman that did make a comment to me was a police officer from another county it would be unknown to me as he was not in uniform.  There were no uniformed police in the restaurant.  I'm not even clear what point the manager is trying to make by even bringing it up as I have a degree in criminal justice and I put on a uniform and badge every day that I go to work.  It is completely irrelevant.


I understand that this is a small family owned business.  I am from the area and over the years I have been to this restaurant dozens of times without complaint.  I don't understand their stance on this.  Had the manager simply subtracted $4.99 from my bill I would have been on my way and would have returned to the restaurant in the future.  I just wouldn't order the biscuits and gravy.  This was a simple solution blown up my the manager herself. 


I have never made a complaint to the Revdex.com.  This is not a habit.  I am so disgusted with the way that I was treated over a simple request to remove $4.99 from my bill that I simply could not let it go.  I have not gone to social media (ie. Facebook) to tell the world how awful this place is, but I have told all my friends and family about it.  Everyone I have told is appalled.  I will never return to this restaurant nor will my family and friends who I have shared my story with.
