[I would like to postpone my agreement/resolution of this matter until after the work has been actually completed.  On at least two previous occassions, I was given dates for the work to be done and no one came or called to cancel.  I did receive a call from [redacted], and agreed for them to come on January 14th for the job to be totally redone.  I would ask that I be given until that date to see if they actually show up and to give my final response about the resolution of my complaint].

Review: The problem is that they did not live up to the contract they sign. they said I would get a $200.00 rebate once the gas insert is install this was in February 12 2016 as of today no rebate I have been calling for answer but getting no where.Desired Settlement: send me my rebate.

Review: Contract signed and deposit of $550 made on 10/6/15 for "redo" of fireplace; met with contractor as requested on 10/7/15 to pick out stone; told it would be 2 weeks before installation. Called after 2 1/2 weeks to inquire about install date because nothing heard from Log Dr. Given a date for the install, but no one came. I called the office and was told material didn't come in. 2nd install date given for last week of October. Installation begun but not finished; also damage done to wall during install and base of the hearth. Told they woukld return the following day or no later than that Monday. After 3 weeks passed, I called the office and was told someone would come. 2 guys came on 11/24/15, but could not complete the install. Made several calls and spoke withe the owner([redacted]) who apologized and asked for a chance to "make it right". Went to store location on West 100 Rd on 12/ 5/15 to file a complaint; assured fireplace would be completed and asked for one more chance to make it right; given an appointment for 12/11/15 to complete install and address problems. "[redacted]" came late in the afternoon on 12/11/15, saying he was totally dissatisfied with the install, and was going to do a total"do over". I was told "[redacted]" would call me first thing on 12/14/15 to schedule a date for the first week of January. As of today (12/16/15) no was has called to schedule the completion of my fireplace. Left "[redacted]" a messsage on 12/14/16, but as of today, no one has returned my calls or come to finish the work. I am begging someone come and finish the job. I cannot seem to get anyone to return my calls or a response of any kind, Would like fireplace finished, as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: iComplete work on firerplace and correct mistakes made during previous install of fireplace. There are plenty of things to be addressed1

I have used this company twice in the last two years, and have had exceptional service from them. I inherited a set of unvented gas logs, which have malfunctioned at times. Several companies showed up that clearly did not understand gas logs. I was almost ready to purchase a new set when I discovered The Log Doctor. They know what they are doing, it's as simple as that. I referred them to my neighbor who was told she needed a new unit (after 2 years). The Log Doctor came, adjusted the settings, and her unit is up and running. My recent problem had to do w/accumulation of soot. He explained that I had not placed logs properly and they were obstructing gas flow, which was causing soot to form. He cleaned out the vents, put the logs in proper position and left me w/peace of mind. I love this company!!
