Spoke with consumer via phoneComplaint has been resolvedCompany reached out to the consumer last week and is sending him gift certificates for free oil changes

I contacted Mr [redacted] on Friday, March and informed him that I was made aware of the situation pertaining to his recent service and engine issueI apologized for the delays and communication problems and then also informed him that the matter would be turned over to our company insurance carrier for processing, which it wasAn adjuster from our insurance carrier will be contacting Mr [redacted] directly regarding resolution of this matterIf there is anything else I can do to help facilitate this process please do not hesitate to contact meSincerely ,Tony C [redacted] Midwest Director of OperationTake Oil Change / Lube Stop [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Lube stop district manager quickly reached out to me and had my car professionally looked at with no cost to be and the check engine light which was caused by an error in replacing the air filter was resetLune stop handled this claim quickly and professionallyI a, satisfied with the way they resolved this problem Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] Ms ***, While I understand that Lube Stop is going to stand by their position, I would like to know how they inspected the car at the dealership? I brought the car to the dealership at approximately 5:20pm on June [redacted] closes at 6pm THE CAR LEFT WITH ME, that evening and has been parked in my since Lube Stop WAS NOT INFORMED of the situation UNTIL THE NEXT DAY This information all can be verified with [redacted] and they are willing to sign and Affidavit to that fact I would also like to add that after my initial phone calls in the morning to Lube Stop, I stopped at the location, with my father in law, to find out what was going on and spoke to [redacted] who informed me he had watched the video and would set me up with a rental and make things right but would have to wait for his district manager to get there, who was on his way from Mayfield.I cannot believe a corporation, such as Lube Stop, would stoop so low as to lie as to inspecting my car at the dealership when they did not know about the problem until the following morning when the car was already at my residence This really calls into question their integrity as a business All I have really asked for from day 1, is for Lube Stop to inspect my vehicle Besides [redacted] , I have spoken to other independent mechanics who each believe the issue needs to be addressed with them first That much oil does not just disapper And to clarify another point, AGAIN, it is my daughter on the video, not me If you lie about inspecting my car, what else are you lying about? What would a Judge think?I have been in customer service for over 20+ years This kind of service would never be accepted in my industry and it makes theirs look horrible The research their company confirms that their policy is to deny, deny, deny Again, all I originally asked them to do is inspect the car The outright lie about inspecting the vehichle at [redacted] has pushed the envelope.Obviously, unless Lube Stop has a change of heart, or morals, I will be looking at other avenues to settle this including, but not limited to legal action, informing the [redacted] Chamber of Commerce, Mayor of [redacted] , City Councilman, State Representative, and the Attorney General I will not be their dissatified customers who pays the repair and lets it slide. It is my sincerest hope that Lube Stop reconsiders their position.Sincerely, [redacted] ***

A Lube Stop Training Store Manager, [redacted] , went to the dealership and spoke with the mechanic and the dealership GM about the situation regarding Ms***'s vehicleOur District Manager, [redacted] , also called the dealership and had discussions regarding the vehicleBoth of these individuals then called Ms [redacted] and told them what they did, the conversations that took place and the conclusionIf Ms [redacted] would like representatives from Lube Stop to inspect the vehicle that could be accommodated. The video of the service performed on Ms***'s vehicle shows the service was performed correctly and the oil was filled to the proper level and verified on three separate occasionsIf Ms [redacted] chooses to contact the Attorney General we will make the video available to a representative of their office should they want to view the service as well.Lube Stop's position on the matter has not changed.Thank you,Lube Stop

The Lube Stop in Austintown really helped me out! I was out getting my oil changed with my one year old and my battery for my car died while in their shop. They tested it and found out the battery health was zero! They do not have batteries for sale and tested it for free! This is where they really get helpful, they not only jumped the car (okay so kind of necessary due to the fact I was in their building) but began to call around and find a parts stores near by that not only carried the battery but had the best price! Thank you!

Recently we had an oil change at the Lube Stop in Austintown, Ohio. We asked the attendant to check the transmission fluid. He went under the car to check the level and said it was full. After this the brake light came on. We told the attendant that and then we left. We had had no trouble with the brakes before that. After we left the brakes started to go. We stopped the car and pumped the brakes, but they did not feel right. My husband was sick so I decided to try to go home, which was not far. The brake pedal then went to the floor, the car shot across the street and hit a wall and pole, flipping over. We ended up at the hospital in two ambulances.

I asked for a diagnostic on the car, but instead an officer went to the towing service where the car had been taken, [redacted], and said that the brakes did go down to the floor but they did not know if that was caused by the accident or whether the accident was caused by the brakes failing (which was the case).

What I am upset about was that the attendant interviewed by the police said that I (the driver) had said that the brakes were bad. I did not say that at all, just observed that the brake light had come on. He also did not mention that an attendant was under the car checking the transmission fluid, even though it had just happened. His statement made it look like I KNEW the brakes were bad when I drove in for the oil change, which was not the case at all. The failure of the brakes surprised me and my husband, and we did make a wrong decision to try to go home. However, I did not say the brakes were bad. If they were, how did we drive into Lube Stop and stop the car? The brakes did not fail under after the oil change.

Now, I checked out this incident with a mechanic, and he said that it was probably not the Lube Stop's fault. That is fine, and I can accept that. What I cannot accept is that the attendant "forgot" he was under the car, and told police I had said the brakes were bad. That is patently untrue. I told the truth and said it to the officer as I lay trapped in my husband's car. I will never know for certain whether the Lube Stop was in any way responsible. I realize that I made a mistake trying to go on, in retrospect. But I did not leave my house with bad brakes. I had even taken the car for a spin in the week before, and the brakes worked. It was the transmission we were planning to take to the dealership soon after the oil change. Why did the Lube Stop misquote me? I don't understand that, and will not trust them in the future. I want them to know the truth and, if they know something that we don't that would contribute to the evidence, they should say it. If not, that's fine. Our relationship with them, however, is finished.
