We are not home depot and absolutely under no circumstances will accept a return of a tub that has been installed on a project There is nothing further that we can do

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted] , and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: [Your Answer Here] The measurements fit into the specs provided, this is why we were fooled. The fact is that the tub was not made to be used as a shower/tub. The specification drawings never showed that the interior of the tub is curved so that you cannot stand in it. We would like to know why this product would be presented as an option for our apartment? We sat with *** and discussed all of our specs. MCKB knew that we would be using the tub also as a shower to stand in. It was never "explained to us that MCKB only makes suggestion and that we make the final decision based on our needs". But of course we made our own decision that it was based upon the consultation of their "expert's". advice. It is certainly not that we decided that we "didn't like" the tub, it was that the tub was the wrong product that was sold to us. We contacted Kohler and they said that the distributor should have never sold me this tub since “This bath is designed for drop-in installation only. It is not suited for use in a three-wall alcove with an overhead shower.” I ask once again, why was this tub suggested to is as an option. Why would [redacted] not say that we couldn't use it as a shower when he sold it to us. In order for the BBB to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above. Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I was sold an incorrect item by the mistake of MCKB's specialist. This mistake cost me extra money and I had to purchase a 2nd tub.
This item should be accepted for return no matter what the condition because it was sold to me for a purpose that it was not made for.

Review: We purchased a tub (the Kohler Soissons) that was recommended to us by MCKB representative [redacted] for bathing and standing in for showering. When the tub was installed it was too narrow for showering in. We contacted Kohler, the manufacturer who confirmed that the tub us not made to stand in for a shower. We do not understand why MCKB would sell us this tub when they knew we would be using it for both bathing and showering. They would not take the tub back because it had been installed. We had to purchase a 2nd tub and pay for all installation. We lost about $5,500 because they sold us the wrong type of tub..Desired Settlement: We would like our money back for the tub.
