The Mariner Resort Reviews (%countItem)

we used *** for our first stay July 22nd to 24th. My parents the 23rd to 24th as well as my sister. We were q group of 5 adults 5 kids. Our rooms smelled, had duck tape on the bathroom door handles, broken slideer door bars, broken/ripped screen door, mildew on shower curtains, stained bedding, broken main doors to bedrooms, cafd keys kept failing to work, outdated decor, deplorable golf range, mold/mildew engulfed indoor pool ceiling with no ventilation, no maintenance crew, no grounds crew! Broken beer bottles smashed in and around mini golf course with firecracker rocket remnants burnt in grass. I brought this to the attention of front desk and the receptionist acted oblivious and didn't send anyone to clean the area. Beer bottle caps everywhere on grounds! This was an awful stay. Id never recommend anyone staying here. Spend extra and go elsewhere!!!

Worst experience in the world. Where do I even begin.. Arrived to the hotel on Friday and Down the hallway from us was a very large party (roughly 200 people) partying outside for 3 days straight. Playing loud music until 6 am. They brought there own speakers and subwoofers playing from the vehicles. Saturday we decided to leave the hotel during the day. When we came back around 11 pm there was ZERO parking due to this large party. People double parking, lingering in the parking lot not letting people who are paying customers get thru. They trashed the hotel grounds with their trash and broken glass. The party was so out of control someone set the fire alarm off. Probably due to the fact they were smoking cigarettes and smoking Marijuana in the rooms. When confronting the Manager about this the response I got back was "what would you like me to do.” Could have cared less that this was happening Outside by the pool it smells like sewage which was probably do to the fact that there were way to many people there.Police were called on several occasions, they broke up the party and when the police left the party resumed. It took many people to complain to get the owner out there and say something to the party. During a pandemic people are supposed to wear masks and social distance, that was not the case for this hotel.
As far as the rooms go.. I understand you get what you pay for but I mean come on smells of mold, broken windows, doors that don’t lock, ect. When speaking
with the owner and he said he will give me a deal when I checked out. When checking out the owner was nowhere in sight. I left a message in person with lady at the front desk and never got a response back. Called several times later that day and the next day to find out the disconnected there phone probably due to the fact that multiple people have been calling to complain about the antics that happened this weekend.

My family and I were scheduled to travel to *** on September 6th and stay through September 8th. Starting the week leading up to our weekend away the weather was calling for a Hurricane that was traveling up the East Coast. This was Hurricane Dorian which lead to several deaths during its time traveling up the coast. We watched the weather for days and then decided to cancel our reservation as the conditions forecasted were still threatening and the State of *** was advising no travel because *** would be hit the hardest. This decision was made because of safety and based on what this hurricane had already been doing to the towns/states in its wake. When we heard that no travel was advised by the state we thought the resort would understand. Apparently, that information was not enough for them because they have refused to refund our trip despite numerous attempts to explain the situation.
