We started this process with McCann Law back in August in hopes to get some help with keeping our home. After having problems with CitiMortgage losing our paperwork and reassigning our account to a new representative who expected us to start the loan modification process over. This was a huge concern seeming as how we were under the impression that our file was close to a resolution. My initial call to McCann Law group I spoke with your representative [redacted], after explaining our

[redacted] assured me that McCann Law group would assign a team of competent attorneys to assist us.That your firm was there to, "help" and take the "stress" off our shoulders, "everything will be ok." He explained that a fee would be paid to McCann Law monthly during the process between CitiMortgage & McCann Law resolving our loan modificaton. The monthly fee of $995.00 would be in place of paying our mortgage and when the modification was settled we would then begin paying our modified mortgage to CitiMortgage.
We were never introduced to our "team", emails & calls were never by the same person.

He informed us the retainer was $1871.50 that had to be paid prior to our file being worked. He split our fee into 2 payments $935.75 debit from our account 8/16/13 and $935.75 again on 9/9/13.
I was emailed all forms, told to complete and fax back to get things under way. I received a conformation email 9/30/13 that my papework had been received. So what happened from there? No more communication unless it was regarding setting up future payments...which at those times I would verify that nothing else was needed. I feel absolutely scammed, betrayed & disgusted. My family reached out for help and were completely taken advantage of. We are terrified knowing that personal & confidential information was sent to McCann Law.

What has been done??? What did we pay for?? Where's our "team of competent attorneys"....My son arrived home from school last week to a auction date taped to our front door!!! Shame on me for trusting that there are good people who are willing to help.Shame on McCann Law for giving familes false hope in thinking that "everything will be ok." My family received nothing from McCann Law group, except for more debit. By the looks of your reviews on your Facebook page and Google search my family is just among the others you have taken advantage of. I have every intention of taking this as far as necessary to get our money back and ensure this does not happen to another family in need of help.
I expect a response asap as to when my family will receive our refund in full.

Due to government regulation ruining my business (thats another story) and health issues I found my life swirling down the drain with my mortgage being delinquent. As a last ditch effort I called CAS and turned it over to them. 4 months later I was approved for a HAMP loan and the 2 illegal foreclosures filled by B.O.A., who had sold the loan two months prior to the first filing was halted. They basically saved my home of 17 years for me and did it for a very reasonable fee. The time to call CAS is when you first get in a bind, not after months of trying to play the games lenders do and getting further behind. I would definitely recommend CAS to someone.
