Review: Originally all I wanted was my portion of my dinner compensated back to me which was a total of $42.50, because total plus tip bill was $85. Upon calling The Melting Pot the day after my experience, because we left well after closing at 11pm and speaking with the Owner of the place [redacted] to let her know that I had burnt my lip on one of the hot fondue prongs that no one warned would be hot enough to burn and cause blistering and since I was in pain and uncomfortable I would like some type of compensation and instead of apologizing she proceeds to speak to me like I'm a mn with no common sense and says oh yeah metal gets hot there's nothing I can do for you. As a consumer and supervisor of customer service I was completely disgusted by the way I was spoken to and treated since I knew I was getting no where speaking to such an ignorant and arrogant owner I am now seeking compensation through other sources.Desired Settlement: I want a FULL refund to my Visa I used I had a party of 10 people that spent at least $450 all I want is my full bill refunded for my husband and I which was a total of $73 something I'm not even asking for the tip back just the refund on my food and drinks. The party was booked under my name [redacted] 8pm reservations on June 19th.

Review: I greatly appreciate you looking into this matter. I had made a reservation at the Melting Pot for a special Valentines Day dinner. I made reservations for 8:30 PM and upon reservation I was told that if we fail to show up, there will be $25 charge per person, and subsequently the hostess requested my credit card information. I was told that if we dont make it they would charge my debit card a total on $50.Upon arrival I encountered a very rude hostess who told me that they were running way behind. I asked for the wait time and I was told that there is no telling. Generally when a person reserves a service or a product and has his credit card pre-authorized he expects to receive it in a timely manner. Examples are hotels, car rentals, etc. However that was not the case with the Melting Pot. Instead of under-booking for Valentines Day, expecting many walk-ins, they over booked the restaurant. We had to stand up front in a crowded unpleasant area for another two hours! Two hours? Naturally, expecting to eat a four-course meal I told my Valentine to save her appetite. By 10:30 when they sat us in the bar area my girlfriend had stayed hungry for so long that she felt sick after eating just a little bit. And a table in the bar area?! Really?When I made my reservations they mentioned nothing about siting us by the front door in the bar area and not in the dining room. So after waiting for two hours we were told that the table in the bar is the only table available and if we wanted to sit in the dining room we would have to wait another 30-40 minutes; past 11 PM and the Melting pot closes at mid-night! When I made my reservation I was not made aware that my table would be in the bar area, not by a long shot! I would never reserve a table in a bar for Valentines Day. We were extremely disappointed and voiced our concern to the manager [redacted] who did not even apologize. I told her how disappointed we were and how our most special night was ruined, and she just walked away! Wow!At the end we were rushed through our meal and we were told that if we dont want to rush through the dessert, we could take a ticket for our dessert and come back another day. Right, like I would ever go back. So we were rushed through dessert and then we were presented by a $207 bill, which included an %18 gratuity for two people. I have never seen anything like this in my life. We also had tickets to see Robocop and we were not able to make it. Our night was ruined, completely by the grace of the Melting Pot. I would like a full refund. You cannot give me another Valentines Day but you can give our money back because you provided substandard service and quality.
