Review: ** On September 10, 2013, I generated a tag sale ad with Middletown Press online. I called to follow up, but reached a recording. ** On September 11, someone called me and verified my ad would be in the paper Sep 12, 13, and 14, and I would be charged $21.53, which I approved. ** On September 16, Middletown Press charged $35.93 to my debit card.** On September 18, I emailed Middletown Press requesting a credit for the $14.40 overcharge. She indicated via email that she would issue the credit. (All emails are attached.)** On September 19, instead of receiving the $14.40 credit, I received an invoice for $14.40.** On September 20, I emailed Middletown Press again. She indicated by email that the credit request would be sent to their Michigan office that same date. I gave them an entire month to issue the credit, but still nothing.** On October 24, I emailed two individuals at Middletown Press again requesting my credit. I also told them that I would be contacting the Revdex.com if I did not receive the credit by the end of October. I received an email from Middletown Press stating they need to send the request to credit again. However, I was not addressed in the email. The email message was directed only from one employee to another.** It is now three weeks from the last email (and two full months since I first placed my ad) and I have still not received my credit. The amount of $14.40 may not seem important to others, but I lost my job in February. To have extra money removed from my checking account that I was not expecting is a financial hardship. In addition, it's the principal here; that I approved $21.53, and was charged $35.93. That's a substantial amount of revenue generated for Middletown Press if everyone says, oh, well, I guess I'm not receiving the credit, and ignores the overcharge.Desired Settlement: I want the overcharge of $14.40 refunded to me, either on my debit card or in the form of a check.

Review: I started getting the Middletown Press about six months ago. Right from the start got a paper just over fifty percent of the time. One ten day period in February I got a paper once. I would call in, they would say they would bring a paper our and never would. I started asking for credit for the missed days. When I got a renewal statement I could see I wasn't getting credit ether. I said enough. Feb 28 2014 I called and cancelled. I have called at least four times about the money they owe me to include today. They say I have not called. I am sure they intend not to refund my money. I would like them to explain why. If I may say, The internet will not be why they go out of business.Desired Settlement: Send me a check
