is of the utmost importance to us that every customer we work with is satisfied
and happy with our serviceWe work very hard to obtain this and have many,
many on line reviews to show our successThis is an unusual situation since we
followed the standard procedures and performed a New
York State inspectionAs
a result of the State inspection there were some mechanical safety failures found
We were authorized to repair these safety problems as well as an oil change, tire
rotation, a basic check up and repair a door handle problemIn good faith we
performed the agreed on repairs but found when we tested the vehicle through
New York State’s Emission test computer we were alerted of an unforeseen
emission problem with the vehicleUnfortunately we had no idea of this prior
to running the test or performing the mechanical repairsI have been a New
York State Licensed vehicle inspector for over years and can only remember
one other time this happening and this was many years ago
In
the end we want *** to be satisfied with our serviceThis is an unforeseen
situation that caught us by surprise as much as it did ***Regardless that
we followed appropriate procedures this is obviously a situation out of our
control and if we had any idea of this we would of addressed it before
proceeding with the mechanical repairsWe feel terrible about this situation
and in good faith we would like to see the vehicle again and perform the base
line diagnostic testing to determine the problem with the emission system at no
charge once we know what is involved to correct the vehicle’s emission system
we can determine the best course of action In the end our goal is to satisfy *** and have
her happy with our service

It is our policy for our technicians to check the exterior of the vehicle for obvious damage, then note their observation on our shop vehicle inspection form prior to starting any work on the vehicle.  Our tech noted prior damage, scratches that looked like the vehicle might have rubbed up...

against a parking pylon like in a drive thru or maybe gas station.  The owner mentioned a fog light in their complaint, fog lights are not part of the NYS inspection and since the damage was so obvious but didn’t affect the inspection we only noted the damage on our internal paperwork. We did the NY State inspection.  The car passed, the consumer paid her bill and left.  Julie Lee returned a few days later and said we did the damage.  At that point we pulled our paperwork and showed her that the damage was noted prior to our work and explained our policy as to why we feel this damage did not happen here. We are sorry but we are not responsible for this damage.
