I have been attempting to use the Internet service for over a year and an to my wits end with this company for many reasons:
1. I was charged an excessive install fee of $300 and was promised to have quality Internet at about 7 Mbps. Come to find out, it was significantly slower (less than one).
2. Internet service would significantly bog down during peak hours of the day. I contacted MIC and they sent out a tech to "fix" the issue. Once the tech left, Internet worked for about a day and then stopped working all together (no more bogged down Internet, now no internet).
3. I again contacted MIC and was promised that from their marketing person that "you should not be charged for something that is not working". Two days later, I was charged full price for the month when I hadn't had Internet properly functioning (I use that term loosely considering the upfront promises) for a week and a half.
4. I contacted MIC and requested they contact me. I made four attempts and all of them were either directed to a general voicemail or put on hold and the call eventually dropped.
I want to warn everyone to not use MIC as they will make false promises to get you to subscribe to their services. Once they get you to sign up and the issues start to arise (don't worry, you won't need to wait long, they start early and happen often), they will back out of their promises and deny deny deny they made them. The only solution they come up with is to ask the customer to pay more money to fix their issue. It is a classic example of bait and switch. Go with a larger company that actually delivers what they promise.
