The client retained my firm on September 15, for the purpose of obtaining an uncontested divorceOn September he was notified that the divorce papers were to be sent to the court that day and they wereOn October 12, the client notified me via email that his wife's name was misstated
in the papers we had filedSpecifically, her middle names were switched aroundHe notified me again by a separate email on October On Friday, October 14, I responded to his email stating that it will be correctedThe client sent another email on Monday, October asking what steps to takeOn October 18, I responded and explained that his wife could still sign the documents as is and simply note the name correction and initial it if she would likeI told him I would personally handle the correction with the court at no cost to himI also exchanged emails with his wife on October 18, of which he was not aware until after he filed this complaintWhen he complained to me on October that his wife had not received a response to her emails I forwarded to him copies of my emails with herThe client also complains that one of my law clerks sent him papers that were still incorrectI accept responsibility for any miscommunication that may have caused this to take placeThere was no reason for my law clerk to send him any documents at that time
