This moving crew was amazingVery reasonably pricedTimes did get a little mixed up but they showed up and work efficiently until the job was doneWe went from a larger storage unit to another house and then they had to get it all into a 3rd floor aptThey were so polite and courteous, very gentle with everythingI would definitely recommend them and will be using them again in the future

I was stuck between a rock and a hard place because the company my husband hired was a no showI really had no other option and on top of all that Move crew was the last company that was called and coincidentally they were availableI spoke to *** *** *** she set everything up and was a pleasure to work withI informed her that I was concerned about the negative reviewsShe assured me her guys were professional and promised that I would be satisfied with the serviceIm writing this review because I found that the reviews I read were not a fair representation based on my personal experienceI strongly recommend them

A terrible moving experience! After loading the truck they drove away with two items sitting there unloaded. We had to call them to come back for them. The next day they arrived at our new location 5 hours late and took 6 hours to unload a two bedroom apartment, finally finishing up at 2 am. In the process they broke one piece of furniture and severely damaged 4 pieces of wood furniture, none of which were wrapped or covered in the van or on the hand truck. In addition, they stacked boxes marked "Fragile" under heavy items and all boxes were turned upside down either on the truck or while unloading. Finally, we discovered many of our belongings (clothing and business files) on the floor of the truck and in the street.
When we mentioned the damages and carelessness to [redacted] and [redacted], the crew who unpacked the truck, they refused to take responsibility and were unapologetic. We reported all this to [redacted], who assured us he would take care of the damages. Five days later we have heard nothing despite repeated emails to him. The cost of repairing the damaged furniture will be more than the move itself. Finally, we can't even get them to send us a receipt.

Review: I contacted The Move Crew on 7/2 and reserved 7/5 as my move date. I asked [redacted] what types of payment were accepted. She stated money order, cash and credit. I told her I didnt want to use credit and would get a money order. In order to reserve my spot I had to submit a deposit. I got a US Postal money order in the amount of $50 for the deoposit. I also got another US Postal money order for $400 (the balance). I mailed the deposit and was informed that it was made out to the wrong name. I had no problem with correcting that.The day of the move, [redacted], the owner, said he could not take the money orders because he had been scammed with fake ones two weeks ago. I told him what his wife told me, that they accepted money orders. They were in receipt of the first money order on 7/3 and said nothing about a problem. After taking the items from the old location I gave him both the money orders made out to hm. At the new location where my mom was waiting to direct them, he tells my mom he couldnt cash the money orders. He gives the money orders to her and charges her credit card for the entire amount of the move.He had no right to charge her when the business deal was with me. The money orders are authentic. At no time did [redacted] or [redacted] mention a problem with US Postal money orders. He then takes advantage of an elderly, disable woman.As stated before the money order are made out to him. I cannot cash them at my bank. I am asking my mothers money be refunded and he take the money orders as he should have. busWhen I confronted him on 7/5, he told me to call back because he was busy. He then hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I want my mother's money refunded and he take the money orders as he was supposed to.

Review: I hired The Move Crew to move me on 5/1/14 - I was advised the move would cost $550.00 - No more - I requested that they check the contents of the residence - [redacted] declined - I advised him to bring wraps / moving blankets - He said he would - He only wrapped my mattress - Nothing else - Because he did not bring additional materials along with a very unprofessional staff - Here are my main complaints.1) Started 2 Hours Late 2) Brought 3 people - Only 2 worked for the majority of the time3) No wraps / moving blankets resulted in cosmetic damage to the box spring / virtually all furniture / book shelves - The couches & chairs for the living room were brand new.4) Over $400.00 worth of damage was done to the backdoor frame - The unit was remodeled before I moved in - Now the management office wants me to pay for the damage / repair. The damage was done because they refused to remove the feet from the furniture - In addition to the door frame / couch / love seat damages - The wooden feet were scared as well - I sanded them all down & had to touch them up to make them look presentable - Again this was brand new furniture.5) The contract was for $550.00 - When George got to my location he said it was going to cost more - I believe this is very unethical - But I offered to essentially give him a tip for $200.00 - While I paid him $550.00 in cash - I had to write him a Post Dated Check for the $200.00 - I wrote this check in good faith - But when the woman I live with & I reviewed the damages - I decided to Stop Payment on the Check - My feelings were why should I reward a job that was very unprofessional from start to finish6) I advised [redacted] why I put a Stop Payment on the Check - He showed no concern for my issues - He states that what I did was a Criminal Act. 7) He did not offer to pay for the backdoor frame damage - He said he has insurance - I was not offered that courtesy.Desired Settlement: I am willing to walk away with a lesson learned - I want [redacted] / The Move Crew to cease all email / phone contact with me - Making no further threats with regards to the check that I placed a Stop Payment Order due to their on the behavior / damages to my property.My Name is [redacted]
