sans-serif;">A customer had his vehicle
originally repaired in August 2013.  I agreed to put him on open account
with the understanding that he would make regular payments.  The total for
the repairs was $1,605.42.  He made two $60.00 payments in September
2013.  Then the customer stopped making payments for months.  We made
many, many phone calls to him and sent him letters.  His phone always went
to voicemail and he didn't return any calls.  We also sent statements and
letters that were ignored.   I have two girls working in the office
and they spent endless hours trying to get this customer to pay. We finally took this customer
to Small Claims Court.  We had to go downtown to file this claim and pay a
fee.  After the customer received a notice from the Court, he finally
contacted us.  We worked out a payment plan with him and it took him 10
months to pay off the balance of the repair.  We cancelled the Court date.  The used transmission that
was put in the car failed.  Obviously when dealing with used parts, there
is a risk involved.  There is a 30 day warranty from our supplier on the
part.  I have offered to replace his transmission at approximately half of
the cost of the first one that failed ($800.00).  The labor, which is 1
1/2 days, is coming out of my pocket.  This is more than fair, especially
after all the hassle we went through to get paid for the original job. The customer
stated in his complaint that he let the car sit for 8 months and then he began
to have transmission problems. The customer agreed
to pay the $800.00 before we installed the second
transmission.  Now in his complaint to the Revdex.com, he says he wants the
repair free of charge or for a substantial discount.  We will not put in
this second transmission until the $800.00 is paid in full.  We have been
more than fair with this customer and now he wants to take advantage of
us. We have been in business for
30 years.  Our business thrives because of all our repeat customers as we
