I hereby reject The Mulch Co.'s reply on the following grounds:1)An estimate was never suggested or offeredI told Katie, the receptionist, the square footage that was needed and she gave me the number of cubic yardsI did not even know that an estimate was a possibility, otherwise I would have welcomed itAs a homeowner, I have only a vague ideas as to the volumes needed to handle such a projectI simply made the assumption that the amount of dirt needed was correct and trusted her professional judgment. 2)The customer's order was NOT delivered as orderedcubic yards was supposed to be delivered but per Ray R*** each truck can hold UP TO cubic yardsWe got truck loads of dirt, which means we could have had UP TO cubic yards deliveredIn addition, once spread as per directed at inch thick for the area in question we had loads of dirt leftI am not sure how the math adds up regarding this, but it took us hours to move load of dirtEach load covered about 30% more area than expectedHence, they over deliveredI invited MrR*** to come and check out how it was spread, take measurements and check the math himself but he did not take me up on the offerI never heard backTo pay an additional $to pick up what was already overordered (their fault) and overdelivered (their fault) is extortionThe labor alone to spread the dirt was incredible. 3)After calling repeatedly, I got NO ONE to helpKatie was dodging my calls, but when I called from a different number, she answeredI had to use three different phone numbers to get to Ray R*** in the first place! My home owner's association was complaining about the dirt and it was affecting community drainageAfter informing them of this repeatedly they did nothing except ignore my calls. 4)AT MY OWN EXPENSE I had the dirt removedI was not going to trust the Mulch Co to handle any of my future business for the above reasons. Therefore I reject the Mulch Co.'s offer completelyI overpaid for too much dirt, paid in my time to attempt to handle this professionally, then paid some more to have it removed when this failed.
