Delivery not full amount charged for, not item ordered, delivered without confirmation/authorization.Disrespect by Manager.1st order arrived as ordered/stated.2nd order delivered without confirmation/expectation, not type of dirt requested, receptionist had no knowledge what or that we had received a delivery. Delivered amount was not the 8 yards charged for.3rd delivery was discounted due to mismanagement of 2nd order. 3rd delivery was for 4 yards of 80/20 topsoil and it arrived with clumps of soil larger than what would fit in a gallon bag. These were wet and difficult to break apart with a shovel. The soil may have been wet when scooped to be delivered but there was not much mixing of the clay/compost and large pieces of bark. Much of the dirt, after being spread as filler is unusable as the soil for planting grass seed that it was described to be by [redacted].Multiple attempts have been made to speak with management regarding this as the receptionist is not aware of what is delivered when. Both myself and my husband have spoken with this company about our concerns, both in person and via multiple phone conversations with [redacted]. I requested from [redacted] that the manager call me on my cell phone and confirmed that she had that number. He responded by leaving a message on my husband's cell phone to talk about "your wife's" concerns. I then called back to state my displeasure at this disrespect and again requested that he call me on my cell phone and please go by my house to look at the pile of dirt to assess our concerns, have the dirt removed if necessary and consider a refund of at least part of the amount paid due to sub-par quality. We live 5 minutes from the business. [redacted] assured she would communicate the message. The manager then called me in the evening, after hours, on my work phone and left a message, not on my cell as requested twice. My husband took over the handling of communication again as my frustration with the blatant disregard for customer service was limiting my ability to clearly communicate. [redacted] (my husband) stated that when he spoke with the manager earlier today, he was rude, cocky and unpleasant on the phone. My husband stated that he was a major bully, overly confident and disrespectful. We will be ensuring that we continue to spread the word about this business experience. We have already encouraged our neighbors dirt deliveries be changed to another local business. Word spreads in our tight-knit neighborhoods. I am sorry that we can no longer support a local business.Desired SettlementI would like a refund or at least partial refund of the last delivery amount to our home. The dirt was of poor quality and we have to order proper dirt in which to plant grass seed. After viewing our products, together you decided to purchase the engineered topsoil to be delivered on 03-20-15. On 03-21-15 your husband called to place a second order of engineered topsoil, as you needed additional product to finish the job. A few days after the second load of material was ordered from your husband, you called and placed an order for 8 yards of our landscape soil. Both deliveries were placed under two different first and last names, not striking the attention of our office staff that you and your husband had placed 2 separate orders for different products. On 04-06-15 your husband visited our Apex location to gather information regarding a delivery of landscape soil, as he did not have any knowledge of that order being placed. After speaking with your husband, my office supervisor waived your delivery fee and reduced the price of your material. The landscape soil and engineered topsoil are both premium products offered at both of my store locations and has been a popular product for several years. This same material is also offered by many other landscaping supply companies in the surrounding area. To bring resolution to this matter, please feel free to bring back any unused product and we will gladly give you a full refund for the unused material.
