I'm writing to share my dissatisfaction with customer service related to my work requestI received a quote on June after a slow water leak was found under the sub-floor of my second bedroom our plumber, *** *** of *** *** recommended Service Master to restore and prevent future water damage given the connection through the Business networking group connection given that the water leak is considered a maintenance issue, the work is not covered by insurancewe scheduled work, and the team was quick to demolish the subfloor and provide dehumidifiers/fans to remove water from the subfloorOn Friday June 16, it was thought that we had a construction crew scheduled to complete the work and by Monday afternoon (June 19) we were canceled with not date in sight to restore the floor as agreed upon at the start of the job A carpenter was later scheduled after my complaints and installed the subfloor the first week of July however did not cut the final utility access leaving additional work to be completedI had not heard from my coordinator or any staff, until August when I received a final invoice for paymentmy frustration centers around the lack of expectation setting, miss communication of major milestones to complete the work, and requesting final payment without completed the work had I known that the Service Master construction crew did not have the capacity to take on my project, I would have sought alternatives also, while I understand that the company has obligations to insurance companies to complete work, first, it does not make me feel valued as a customer if I am being de prioritized, and reminded of the factToday, September 7, while at work, my wife was greeted (home alone) by "joe", who explained that he cannt start work until payment is made, and if he damages anything in the process of completing the work it is not his problem he became angry when I challenged him to find a solution/complete the work and be done with the project when I called the main office to complain about Joe's unprofessional attitude, I was told that this is not usual, however no action was taken, and the office required me to make payment via credit card over the phone in the moment that I was sharing my frustrationI can be reasonable once, I can be reasonable a second time but at this point my entire summer as be spent feeling frustrated by a stupid $2k project I can only imagine what someone has to deal with on a larger projectnot sure what can be done to make this right rather than use the experience as a lesson learn I will never use Service Master again
