This is in reply to [redacted]'s complaint. Mr. [redacted] purchased 1-Godin XTSA Namm display model ( used for a trade show as a demo) on Feb. 10 2014 from The Music Farm and he received the guitar on 2-17-14. He informed us he received it with damage and opened a [redacted] case...
(saying he wasn't happy), so we ordered another one from Godin in Canada. They shipped us the replacement one very quickly and he received it in CA on March 4th and closed the [redacted] case stating "Thx for handling the issue so professionally!!! I received the guitar in great condition!" and he was very happy with the guitar and our service. We have email proof of this. Out of the blue, Mr. [redacted] called The Music Farm around 8-4-15 and demanded that we pay 920.00 plus hundreds extra in damages and he said he contacted a lawyer in Ohio and we should pay for that fee also, he said he was going to sue us. At that point we did not want to have anymore communication, due to potential litigation. This is all so strange after 18 months of being happy. Since he purchased a display model and the Godin XTSA we sent him had a F stamped on the serial number (the only one available for months). Godin applies the F when it has a slight flaw. We have sold hundreds of these from Godin and you can not tell what the slight flaw is because it is such a quality instrument.We found the listing on [redacted] where Mr. [redacted] sold his Godin guitar for 670.00 and even though he sold it as used and had a picture of the serial number in the listing, the guitar was returned to Mr. [redacted]. We are concerned that Mr. [redacted] is not happy and would like show a good will offer. We are willing to purchase this Godin guitar from Mr. [redacted] as a nice gesture because he does not want this instrument. We would have liked to work it out with a phone call but after the demand for over 1000.00 it was not going to be a smooth conversation. Our offer would be 600.00 and we would send him a call tag to have it picked up from his residence. In theory this would be about 18.00 per month in rental since we sold it to him for 920.00 18 months ago. If this is the route Mr. [redacted] would like to pursue, we are willing to make this deal happen. Talk soon,[redacted]
