We’re happy to respond to Mr***’s concerns regarding the refund policy for the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders.To be clear, parents are asked to acknowledge that they understand the refund policy twice during the enrollment process before proceeding to enroll their child in
the CongressWe want to be sure that parents fully understand their commitment before enabling payment. This policy clearly states that refunds must be made within days of enrollment.Our Admissions counselors had several conversations with Mrsand then Mr*** regarding a refund and to discuss ways they could help ensure their son has the opportunity to participate in the Congress, including help with fundraising for this year or rolling over their son’s tuition to next year’s CongressWe understand that situations sometimes preclude students that are registered from attending and offer to roll the tuition over to the next year The ***’s son is a high school freshman, so he has the opportunity to attend anytime in the next years.In Mr***’s complaint he makes an out-of-context reference to our refund policy: “The notification sent states that no refunds after days but also says no refunds past April 30, 2017.” This is language regarding April 30th is from our Terms and Conditions and is referring to refunds for any aitems, such as our housing program or college credit and does not refer to tuition.Furthermore, when speaking with our Admissions Counselor on March 20th, he became angry when he wasn’t receiving the answer he wanted and resorted to obscene language and threats.Mr*** is upset that he cannot get a refund he is not entitled to, though we do not understand why he feels the need to besmirch the Congress experience of which he researched and was excited about for his childNonetheless, we would never want Mr***’s behavior to preclude his son’s future attendance and invite the *** family to contact the Admissions Department and take advantage of the opportunity to roll over their son’s tuition to another
