Restrictions in Ohio due to COVID-19 were announced 5 days prior to my planned travel to Florida and the Neptune Resort. I immediately called to cancel my reservation but was told I would still be charged over $460 because it was not within 7 days. There was no way to know 2 days earlier that the schools and state would be shutting down. These are not normal circumstances for patrons or businesses and keeping myself healthy and compliant has to be my priority. Because I have pre-existing conditions making me more vulnerable than the general population (which I'm happy to give medical records to prove), as well as the closure of my children's school it was no longer feasible or advisable to travel. Given these unprecedented times, I believe I am entitled to a refund, less the $25.00 processing fee. Other businesses have adjusted their cancellation policies to ensure the health and safety of the public and the Neptune Resort should do the same during a global pandemic.

The Neptune Resort has admitted fault in their cancellation policy during the pandemic and has refunded the entire cost of my reservation.
