Review: On July **, at approximately 10am, I got my SUV washed and the interior vaccuumed at Great Neck Car Wash. During the vaccuuming of my trunk, one of the workers pulled too hard on the handle that raises and lowers the back seat. As a result, the spring on the handle broke off, and now the seat cannot be raised and lowered properly, and the handle does not snap back into place.
I had gone home and had noticed the damage after I left the car wash. I returned to speak to the manager, and was treated rudely and told "that is not my problem - your car is old." My car is a 2008 Acura MDX.Desired Settlement: I believe that the business has a reponsibility to pay for the damages that they caused - namely the replacement of the handle the back seat of the car. The quote I received for the parts and labor for repair is $300.

In response to the compliant, First of all he was not here at all, it was his wife that washed the car. So what he testifies is here say. The car entered the wash and the suv's third row seats were down, my employee's vacuumed the entire vehicle and lifted the back seats like they do for hundreds of other suv's. The customer left and then returned to show me that the handle on the back of the third row was not laying completely flat to the seat, maybe 3/8" up. I showed the customer that the operation of the seat still works, by closing and opening the seat. I tried to explain that over time the cable that goes under the seat may stretch and the handle may not lay flat anymore. The Vehicle is a 2008 not very old but 6 1/2 years of the handle has been pulled up and down may cause this to happen. I checked online at several Aura MDX blogs and found that this has been an ongoing problem with many of the Acura MDX third row seat cable. I called the customer to tell them that, and her husband said Quote " oh I did'nt know that I will look into it", and nicely finished our phone conversation. I think his problem is with Acura, this should not happenso soon on a vehicle.
