The afternoon of May 1, 2016, my wife, year-old (at the time) daughter, and I went to lunch/brunch at Heck's CafeWe ordered a Heckburger (for my wife and daughter to share), a Peanut Butter Chocolate Shake (for us all to share), and a Country Fried Steak (my order)During our dining experience the service/wait staff was sub-par (we were not checked on in timely intervals, ran out of water to drink, etc.) and the shake that we ordered was milky/runny/watered-downSo, we asked the waitress/server (Rachel) if their shakes are supposed to be that texture/consistencyAfter describing that the shake was just like drinking a glass of milk, she (Rachel) said no it shouldn't be like that, then brought us another oneHowever, the next shake was just as bad, so we didn't drink itWe were disappointed in the service (it was not busy in the restaurant); so, I just paid the bill and we left. Later that day (May 1), around 6-7pm, I started to feel nauseous, so I decided it was best not to eat dinnerI hadn't eaten anything before or after dining at Heck'sI went to sleep around 10pm, but woke up around 2am (May 2) with diarrheaI woke up two more times during the night with diarrheaAround 8am, I woke up to let my office know that I wasn't going to come to work since I was still feeling nauseous, then I went back to sleepA few hours later (vomiting had started at this point), concerned about my daughter being in the house around me, my wife decided to take our daughter to her grandparent's house (in Ashtabula, OH - miles east of Cleveland), which is a two-hour drive round-trip (one-hour drive each way), since they are the closest relatives to watch our daughterWhile my wife was away, I vomit multiple times over the next few hoursWhen my wife returned home around 4pm, she drove me to the Urgent Care on Mayfield Rd (Lyndhurst), but after a one-hour wait, they told us that there was nothing that they could do for me there and suggested that I go to the ERSo, my wife decided to take me to the *** Hospital ER since it was closer than going to the University Hospitals ERAfter about 1.5-hour wait in the waiting room, I was taken into the ER...Revdex.com and Heck's Cafe have already been provided with the documentation of the ER visit, medications, and prescriptions filled at CVS in Willoughby (the closest 24-hour Pharmacy)Lastly, I missed a total of days (May 2, and 4) of workIf you need any additional details, please let me know.Best,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.? For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The current GM's (of Heck's Cafe) response is inaccurate because, as can be seen in the former GM's (Tim S[redacted]) email, there was an offer of a gift card, but at no point was there an offer of a refundAlso, Tim S[redacted] acknowledged the following in his one email response, "What you experienced is totally unacceptable and we have already taken steps to ensure that this does not happen in our restaurant again." So, I find it had to believe that there haven't been any other complaints about Heck's Cafe either past or present, unless nobody else except for myself formalized a complaint via Revdex.com, which is likely the case since Heck's Cafe wasn't in the Revdex.com database when I initiated the complaint (I had to enter the restaurant's information)
