The Nines Apartments

If there was a minus five stars, I would have clicked on it. This apartment complex is a mess! The front office staff does not know what they are doing and every time you call you get a different answer. Kat, the Assistant Manager, spends her time trying to find a date with any interested tenant and Kim C[redacted] likes to stalk her residents on their Instagram and Face Book accounts. (She can be found on social media) This complex was recently purchased and it is a mess. Hopefully improvements will be made soon because it is run down and smells like roaches when you walk into the elevator area. They will take advantage of people so watch your rental statements. Oh wait, you can't even get one without asking because they don't have online payments nor do they have a rent drop box! When you leave a rent check under the door on a Saturday and they do not deposit it until Tuesday, they will try to charge you fees until Tuesday and then say they are going to take it off. Just beware if you are crazy or desperate enough to rent here! There are much newer and nicer places to rent in Tempe that have more knowledgeable and friendly people working to serve their residents instead of harassing them. Not a great example of customer service by any means.

I am an older white female with a teen. We lived at "The Nines" a very short time frame of 4 months which was much too long. This is not a family oriented place for any children of any age. The pot smoking and drugs is just ridiculous. Pot smoking goes on all over the campus, and my son witnessed drugs in use in several areas as well such as shooting drugs in the arms. The laundry facility is horrid, the rooms are never cleaned, the dryer on the 5th floor{1 of 3} never had heat the entire time we lived there and the office knew there was a note attached to the dryer that they were notified. We left the apartment very nice and clean as I use to clean apartments as a side job. However I had heard they are notorious for keeping your deposit and charging you for things that they dig up..well I have found it to be true. I left my forwarding address and to this date I have yet to receive anything from them. But I thought they had 2 weeks from my move out date to notify me? Now they have turned me over to a collection agency whom I have requested to provide me with an itemized list of expenses. They call me everyday several time a day and I still have not received the itemized list..
I am appauled at the way this whole issue has been handled. I was a good customer of theirs and paid my rent on time etc. and this is how I am treated. I have never lived in a worse place in my life and I am yet being charged for it.
