“The Oak Tree Agency ”/ Owner Nicole O***
That is correct, the family had hired their 1st
nanny through The Oak Tree Agency and when the nanny declined the position shortly
before the start date, the family was immediately notified. At that point, The Oak Tree
Agency honored their contract to find the family a replacement or as a courtesy, (we have a no refund
policy), The Oak Tree Agency offered to refund the replacement fee. The family decided to move forward with
a 2nd search to find a replacement and after they met with available
candidates the family decided to hire the 2nd nanny. It wasn’t until the 2nd
nanny fell ill and then later terminated by the family, that The Oak Tree Agency was
contacted and notified of this situation and once again the family sought the assistance
of The Oak Tree Agency to find another nanny. While the policy states, a one-time replacement, in good
faith, The Oak Tree Agency began yet another search for the family. Immediately, The Oak Tree Agency sent
two candidates one that was a temporary candidate (which was indicated prior to
the interview) to help in the interim and another that was not to their liking
Then, The Oak Tree Agency sent two additional candidate profiles one of which the
mom agreed to meet but before that was possible her husband demanded to stop
the search and his money back The
Oak Tree Agency reminded the family that The Oak Tree Agency does not refund
money under any circumstances and to carefully review their contract that they
agreed to/signed prior to the search. The Oak Tree Agency continued to do what they could to
assist and asked if they would like to resume the search
The Oak Tree Agency has been more than responsive, was very
willing to work with the family and promptly tried to resolve any issue that
was brought to their attention in a very
timely manner. The Oak Tree
Agency did everything within contract terms, to satisfy the
family. However, when The Oak Tree Agency denied their request for a
refund, according to the family that answer was unacceptable and then they expressed
being unsatisfied with the service that was provided to them and the nanny they hired Furthermore, it seems the family had signed a contract/agreement
that they did not take seriously or read thoroughly before they initiated a
search with The Oak Tree Agency
The Oak Tree Agency would be willing to provide a copy of
the family’s contract/agreement. Based
upon the claims and statements it appears as though the family expected The Oak
Tree Agency to go above protocol to satisfy their needs and when rejected
became agitated and accusatory.
The time invested into this issue/search has gone beyond the
capacity to provide any monetary settlement for the family. At this time, The Oak Tree Agency
requests that the complaint be closed due to the lack of merit To clarify : There is nobody by the name *** that works for The Oak
Tree AgencyFor further questions or discussion, I can be reached at *** or via email
Sincerely,
Nicole O*** - Owner, The Oak Tree Agency

The
Oak Tree Agency is a referral service and once again, based on the statements
in the family’s response, it is evident they do not understand what the role of
a referral service is and accusing The Oak Tree Agency of not providing
choices. To clarify, the role is
but not limited to: provide families with candidates that match as closely as
possible to the criteria a family is seeking. It is the family’s
choice to interview them, the family’s
choice to hire and the family’s
choice to terminate.
The Oak Tree Agency and other agencies alike have several sources of
recruiting; whether or not candidates are found on Care.com does not determine
their capabilities as a nanny ( for the record both nannies contacted The Oak Tree Agency directly). The
Oak Tree Agency conducts background checks when candidates are placed and the
family received a report for each of the nannies they hired. When the first incident occurred The
Oak Tree Agency gave the family a choice to either accept a refund and move on,
or continue to find another nanny.
The family chose to continue
When
the unforeseen illness occurred with the 2nd nanny, the family chose to meet other
candidates and then the family chose
to halt the search. The Oak Tree
Agency would have continued to assist the family but it appears as though the
family is holding The Oak Tree Agency responsible for unforeseen circumstances
and the choices they ultimately made
The
Oak Tree Agency is a very reputable agency that has successfully placed nannies
with loving, respectable families; the accusations of The Oak Tree Agency not
processing background screenings, leaving a family helpless, making
statements and running a scam is completely illogical and groundless. Defiling the credibility of The Oak Tree
Agency is very serious and will not be taken lightly nor will the harassing, and
threatening emails

The morning of May 4th we wake up to a text that the Nanny backed out of the position last minute. Our family was again left with no choice but to take time off from work. We were very upset with the Agency. My wife and I had already taken a lot of time off during this search process. We expressed our fustration and how unprofessional this was of the agency and the nanny. Nicole from the agency stated to us that this was the first time this ever happened. Nicole offered to provide us with our money back. My wife and I really didn't have much of a choice but to give the Agency a second try. Nicole sent 5 candidates to our house right away non of which were close to a match of what we were looking for. I immediately wrote to Nicole the email below. Nicole maybe we should talk again tomorrow as the proposed nannies today didn't completely fit what we are looking for as a family. The  1st came to our house today was a waste of my wife's time. The women tonight was nice but has small children, can't travel and or do date nights. The fill in you recommended tonight as a live in does not do pets or laundry. We spent a lot of wasted time before we came to your agency. For the amount of money we have paid you we expect you to weed out the junk and find us top qualified nannies that fit our needs completely. We are still very disappointed in what transpired today. It was extremely unprofessional and not fair to us at all. We lost a lot of time, money and energy. We don't have another two weeks to waste looking for the right person. A phone call tonight after the interview would have been appreciated. We hope you can help us find the right person quickly.  She again offered our money back. Getting our money back didn't help us we needed a nanny. We explained to her that we need her to find us a nanny and we don't have two weeks to do so. She sent us Renata as a potential temporary replacement. She seemed like a good fit for our family and we agreed to hire her fulltime. Within 30 days of the agreement Renata's underlying health conditions led her to not being able to do her job and us having to fire her for not showing up to work & staying in contact. My wife expressed her fustration to Nicole again that we were left in this situation again. We relyed on this agency to find us a canidate that had a background check and worked. We found out after hiring Renata that Nicole found her on care.com and Nicole had never worked with her previously. Nicole sent us more candidates to interview as replacements to Renata. The canidates were not qualified to care for our family. We kindly asked the agency as she had previously offered a refund to provide us with a refund of our money. Nicole basically sent us the contact and said she is not obligated to help us any further. In our opion this women is running a scam and feel to protect other families our claim should be on record and not dismissed.
