Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:We do not accept MrM [redacted] explanation at this time; however, we are willing to attempt a compromiseThe estimate enclosed with the complaint clearly stated the work would be completed in three week, not January, and not at the end of December when he claimed to have become illWe have been promised pictures of the door we ordered more than once and have yet to see them so we are skeptical to believe that this week’s promise will be any different than prior ones.MrM [redacted] stated in his explanation that he became sick on December 2016, which was way past the original promise date of three weeks from the deposit he received on November It is clear to us that MrM [redacted] has yet to start on the door as promised, let alone the two custom end tables and benchThe Christmas surprise of the tables and bench has also long ago been ruined so it is irrelevant that he even start on these items as we only want the barn door so we can sever this relationship with MrM***; thus, we propose a compromise: MrM [redacted] will put the $deposit he received for the end tables on 11/19/towards the balance we owe on the door, which is $per the original estimate; thus, we would owe $to him for the door The original price included the installation so we fully expect him to complete such We expect the finished barn door to be a quality product and not thrown together in a retaliatory manner to just get it done We expect some sort of guarantee for the door, track and rollers He will produce a picture of the barn door to Mrs [redacted] via email by no later than 01/27/ Installation will be completed no later than 02/14/2017.If MrM [redacted] does not agree to the above compromise, we expect a full refundThe only change in the original design had to do with a paw print that was to be burned into the door to add a piece of originality to itInitially, Mrs [redacted] wanted a dog paw but changed it to a bear pawWe cannot see how this would cause a delay since MrM [redacted] said he was going to Google an image and send it to Mrs [redacted] for approvalThis part of the design would have been done after completion of the products so using this as an excuse is unreasonableMrM [redacted] knew to send the pictures to Mrs [redacted] ’s email or text them to her cell phone in hopes of keeping the paw design as a surprise for Dr [redacted] When he spoke to Dr [redacted] , all he had to share was the progress on the barn door, however, MrM [redacted] went on a verbal rant which ended by him calling Dr [redacted] an “ [redacted] ” then hanging up the callThis is unacceptable business practice regardless of claimed illnessWe had a right to know the status of the door since we paid out money many weeks priorAdditionally, MrM [redacted] left Mrs [redacted] a voicemail message on the same day of the rant, which was on 01/03/at hours in which he stated “Listen here, you got a bench, two end tables and a door that are within days away from being completed ” and yet, we still have no pictures.Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:We do not accept Mr. M[redacted] explanation at this time; however, we are willing to attempt a compromise. The estimate enclosed with the complaint clearly stated the work would be completed in three week, not January, and not at the end of December when he claimed to have become ill. We have been promised pictures of the door we ordered more than once and have yet to see them so we are skeptical to believe that this week’s promise will be any different than prior ones.Mr. M[redacted] stated in his explanation that he became sick on 26 December 2016, which was way past the original promise date of three weeks from the deposit he received on 19 November 2016. It is clear to us that Mr. M[redacted] has yet to start on the door as promised, let alone the two custom end tables and bench. The Christmas surprise of the tables and bench has also long ago been ruined so it is irrelevant that he even start on these items as we only want the barn door so we can sever this relationship with Mr. M[redacted]; thus, we propose a compromise:1.      Mr. M[redacted] will put the $300.00 deposit he received for the end tables on 11/19/2016 towards the balance we owe on the door, which is $641.00 per the original estimate; thus, we would owe $341.00 to him for the door. 2.      The original price included the installation so we fully expect him to complete such.3.      We expect the finished barn door to be a quality product and not thrown together in a retaliatory manner to just get it done.4.      We expect some sort of guarantee for the door, track and rollers.5.      He will produce a picture of the barn door to Mrs. [redacted] via email by no later than 01/27/2017. 6.      Installation will be completed no later than 02/14/2017.If Mr. M[redacted] does not agree to the above compromise, we expect a full refund. The only change in the original design had to do with a paw print that was to be burned into the door to add a piece of originality to it. Initially, Mrs. [redacted] wanted a dog paw but changed it to a bear paw. We cannot see how this would cause a delay since Mr. M[redacted] said he was going to Google an image and send it to Mrs. [redacted] for approval. This part of the design would have been done after completion of the products so using this as an excuse is unreasonable. Mr. M[redacted] knew to send the pictures to Mrs. [redacted]’s email or text them to her cell phone in hopes of keeping the paw design as a surprise for Dr. [redacted]. When he spoke to Dr. [redacted], all he had to share was the progress on the barn door, however, Mr. M[redacted] went on a verbal rant which ended by him calling Dr. [redacted] an “[redacted]” then hanging up the call. This is unacceptable business practice regardless of claimed illness. We had a right to know the status of the door since we paid out money many weeks prior. Additionally, Mr. M[redacted] left Mrs. [redacted] a voicemail message on the same day of the rant, which was on 01/03/2017 at 1158 hours in which he stated “Listen here, you got a bench, two end tables and a door that are within days away from being completed…” and yet, we still have no pictures.Regards,

Tell us why here...        I assure you that I am not trying to rip off the [redacted]'s. I did tell them it would be around the 1st of Jan for install. However I forgot at the time I told her that that she had also added a bench on top of the two end tables that had been added now...

I do all this work by hand it's not done with machines or anything so it's kind of a self-explanatory so to say that it's going to take a little bit longer when they add more to the project. Also on the 26th of December I became very ill for two weeks I have all the doctors and hospital visits paperwork that I could prove that. I've been on 5 different medications that were prescribed to because of everything that happened and being someone that doesn't take and [redacted] and even usually about once a year they're not exactly safe to work with table saws and chop saws with if you're not used to that so to say. They also found a giant ulcer in the back of my throat and seeing as how I do Woodwork and even though I wear masks it wouldn't have been brilliant idea to be sanding and getting dust in my ulcer and infecting it even more. I have every intention on finishing their project unfortunately some described events have prevented that from happening yet I'm just barely getting back to work today and so I will send them pictures probably the middle of the week and we could figure out a install day from there. Also the reason their communication hasn't really been there it's because I was under the impression that the end tables and the bench were to be surprise so I was not supposed to say anything about that therefore making it a little hard for me to explain to mr. [redacted] well that why things were taking longer.Best RegardsJohn M[redacted]
