I would leave negative stars if I could Original Mattress Factory I would. They were the most expensive but we thought they were honest folks who claimed to manufacture their own. Maybe they do, maybe they don't, does not matter. It is what they DO NOT tell you that is what is most upsetting.
Just over 30days in and we decided to turn the mattress end to end because of hip to ankle pain because we are side sleepers. We told the salesman we were side sleepers.
We bought one of their top rated mattresses, "supposedly", King Orthopedic Euro Top (double sided pillow top.. We did not buy box springs because we bought new ones a few months prior. It was $1625 with tax and delivery for mattress only! We were told to flip end to end and then over and then end to end because the mattress is a double pillow top every 90 days for the first year. What they DID NOT tell us is that the mattress is 200 pounds. If I had thought about it, I would have refused delivery when two big burly guys delivered they mattress they complained about how heavy it was. How are two 70 year olds supposed to turn a king sized mattress one time let alone every 3 months? Their solution? "pay their drivers $50 to come and turn them for us!"
We were trying to flip today because the mattress is causing side pain from hips to ankles so we tried to flip end to end at just slightly 30 days of use. Their reply? "See a doctor or a chiropractor if you are having pain!" OH! and the other excuse is "while we recommend turning and flipping every 90 days, it is not necessary"!
The kicker is they give a 75% credit towards another of their mattresses!
Bought the adjustable bed bases and mattresses to go with it. We knew within the first few days it was not for us. Yes, we made the purchase but when I asked if we could switch it out, they said they would sell us a new mattress and box spring but would not give us any type of credit towards a new purchase. The whole thing was over $2,000. They said they would donate the mattresses which we slept on but could not re-sell or donate the bases which makes no sense to me because they did not have any kind of body contact at all OR we could donate it and bring them proof and we could get a greatly reduced price on a new set. Basically, they get paid 2x (3 if they get the tax write off for their donation) and we are out even more money. Plus the bed is a bear to make up because the twin mattresses are so crammed together you can't get your hands between the mattresses to re-tuck the sheets. Please think about the whole idea of purchasing an adjustable bed before you buy. I didn't think of problems like making up the bed OR trying to get another set. I know we purchased it of our own free will but the now we are stuck with a very uncomfortable, very expensive bed.

For the protection of the consumer, The Original Mattress Factory sells only new bedding products with all new materials. Therefore, we do not accept returns or exchanges on upholstered bedding products, including, but not limited to mattresses, box springs, pillows, sheets, mattress pads, covers and protectors. This position is clearly stated on signs displayed on our sales desks, in the warranty card, on our website and on the back of the invoice the customer received at the time of purchase. Copies of the sign, back of invoice and warranty card are enclosed for your reference.
In the event a customer feels they have made the wrong purchasing decision in regards to comfort or size we have policies to assist the customer with their issues.
As soon as we were notified of an issue on 5/8/18 we provided several options in an attempt to resolve the issues, but all options were declined. The comfort policy is in place to try to work with a customer that has made a selection mistake, it is not a benefit to the company. We would encourage you to contact the Charlotte Factory to review our policies and the options available with you again, as this post does not accurately represent our policies.
They were very kind. They did offer me 3 options: We paid $2,858.00
1. They would take it back and donate it and we could come back to the store and buy another mattress and box spring at a reduced price.
2. We could give it away, bring them the receipt showing we gave away $2,858.00, come back and buy another mattress and box spring at a reduced rate.
3. We could keep the bases but not use them and come buy another mattress.
Option 1: We're out $2,858.00 plus the cost of another mattress and box spring.
Option 2: We can donate a $2,858.00 mattresses and bases and take what little tax write off we would get and then come back and buy a mattress and box spring.
Option3: Keep the bases but not use them, donate the mattresses and come buy another mattress to on top of very expenses bases
We chose not to take them up on their offer. The main reason was to let people know about this plus the problems we are having with making up the beds, etc. Things you don't think about when you're buying. You just think about how cool it is to have an adjustable bed and not the problems. Since I've had back surgery and he's had rotator cuff surgery - these are things we didn't consider and I want others to be aware..
