The Outer Banks Hospital

Outer Banks Hospital turned me into collections while I was making payments as agreed! I recently had my appendix removed and right after receiving all of my bills I contacted personally every office in order to arrange payments. I have been making a $25 a month payment as agreed with a representative over the phone. I have 5 bills in total after my surgery. So I was surprised to see that one of them was turned in to collection agency! I have been making payments on it just like the rest of them from the day I received them all one by one! So I have contacted the office and they are telling me that apparently whoever I was talking on the phone with did not put me in a system for monthly payment, they did not put me on a schedule! I asked to try to contact the manager and take my bill out of collections, instead I was told that the only way that is going to happen is if I make monthly payments of $115!!! If I could afford to pay each one of my 5 bills for $115 a month then I would probably do it to begin with! I'm so disgusted by their irresponsible actions and what they have done! I was working on my credit score for years! And now they are turning me into collections when it is 100% their irresponsible fault and mistake! I,want to get to the bottom of this! This is wrong! People are trying to pay and that's what they get in return! They have made a mistake and they need to fix it!Desired SettlementSince their office made a mistake and blamed me for it, I want my bill to be taken out of collections and I will keep on making a $25 a month payment to the hospital as agreed to begin with 6 months ago! It is not my fault and responsibility to be punished and turned into collections because of one of your employees mistake and irresponsibility! Thank you so much for your help! I have got a call today and the lady told me that they have made a mistake, so I can keep on making payments to them like I have been. I also checked my credit report and the collection is no longer on it, as a lady told me they took it out of collection! Thank you again so much! Have a great day!
