Hi,I thought we were very clear in the reply to Mrs [redacted] in my last email to youWe at no time wanted to charge her againWe never quoted her a repair cost with her current situationI told her I would do some research and get back to herThe additional $two years ago was a change order and it was to add support poles between the main poles connected to the centerAgain they decided to not go with a complete roof replacementThey only had us repair the broken poles and rethatch itIf they had done a complete replacement we would have honored the warranty because it would have been our wood that brokeI even told her ahead of time we will honor our warranty if the pole that broke is pressure treatedIf it is not we will have to charge for a repair costIt is terrible how people can manipulate the system to try and twist a story and get something for freeShe paints me out to be a villainI am not, we at The Palapa Guy believe in customer serviceWe have done hundreds of palapas and never had a complaint till nowWe take the extra steps to make sure our customers get a quality product at a fair priceThe ***’s bought a kit Palapa that used cheap materialsIt was not one that we builtBack in we did the repair workWe only replaced part of the roofThe existing wood from the original Palapa broke and now she is trying to say it is oursShe also states each time I called I asked for more moneyThe fact is we only spoke once and I never quoted her a price for repairing the Palapa. We only use pressure treated lumber and we only provide a warranty on work we did and material we usedIt was one of the original poles from their kit Palapa that brokeTherefore, we felt a service charge was fairTo be honest this complaint should never have been filedWe consider the matter closed

In response to compliant from Mr F [redacted] we here at Par worked very hard to make rider run as good as the day you got it , as our original conversation about putting on a used motorPlease note our conversation of your horse motor with a one inch shaft, non-electric start, was not an option for my used motorsOur conversations were that the only way to do the one inch shaft with the used motors were electric start onlyYou and I then discussed another motor that may have been a possibilty, but then the dilema was it was a 3/shaft that we had to take to an inchYou were concerned with changing the pully due to the weight counter balance for torque on the old motorWe then discussed a shaft bushing to bring it to one ich, which I ordered, and we found it would not work with your pullyYou and I then discussed a rebuild on your motorYou asked if we were able to get parts and I was able to get new piston rings, gaskets and sealsYou OK'd the rebuild and advised me that there were parts missing on the carbYou said you werent worried about that, as long as you had throttle controlWe then proceeded to rebuild motor and installed motor on your mowerAs we were breaking it in, you came and needed to pick it upWe discussed that there was no choke because those parts were missing, which caused a hard cold start, but you had throttle controlYou left with the mower, but returned it to our shop a week later with two parts motors, in hopes that those parts would fit for your choke since parts were unavailable for your original motorAfter looking at the parts we were able to determine a way to alter them to make them work on your carburatorWe installed your parts and after putting all of our effort in to the used parts, we were able to make the choke work and cold start on three pullsWe then ran the mower through very tall grass on a minute break- inMower performed flawlesslyThe governer, throttle and drive all performed as expectedNo oil leaks or smokeWe then called, emailed and facebook messaged you with no responseYour mower sat here for weeks, as we continued to try to contact youYou then came on a day we were closed and retrieved your mower and your two provided parts motorsWe never billed you for the second repair that was not part of our oroginal work orderWe at PAR feel that we have done all we can to make this situation rightWe have honored all complaintsThis was a very complicated repair order from the begining and we never gave up on figuring out a way to make your mower run againWe spent countless unbilled hours making that workWe hope the mower continues to run well for you
