I am not confused as to what the Business is saying. We had work done by them and I pointed out to them the statement on the back of the contract we signed with them. Eric thanked me for pointing this out to them. They had a representative come here to our home and charged us an extra 250.00 dollars on top of what we paid them the 1102.00 dollars. Each time Eric called it was a more money request from him and in his email it stated that. I even stated to Eric that Corey his representative had been given 250.00 dollars and his comments he was not aware of that and that it was between Corey and us. I stated to him that Corey was his representative that he sent to us to strengthen the poles. They may use a certain color but we are sure that Corey went to Home Depot and his truck and used other materials. Eric refused to hear this each time we said this to him. We have a signed paper from Corey stating he was strengthening the palapa. Eric was not here so he will deny what his representative did and continue to say it is not there work. We as a consumer should not have to pay for work we clearly did not receive as a guarantee. Eric became very belligerent on the calls with him so I disconnected because the conversation was one way as as you can see from his previous email the tones that I received from him. I request that they do not do any more work as he stated however I feel we are entitled for some of our money back.Sincerely, [redacted]

Hi,I thought we were very clear in the reply to Mrs. [redacted] in my last email to you. We at no time wanted to charge her 1102.72 again. We never quoted her a repair cost with her current situation. I told her I would do some research and get back to her. The additional $250.00 two years ago was a change order and it was to add support poles between the main poles connected to the center. Again they decided to not go with a complete roof replacement. They only had us repair the broken poles and rethatch it. If they had done a complete replacement we would have honored the warranty because it would have been our wood that broke. I even told her ahead of time we will honor our warranty if the pole that broke is pressure treated. If it is not we will have to charge for a repair cost. It is terrible how people can manipulate the system to try and twist a story and get something for free. She paints me out to be a villain. I am not, we at The Palapa Guy believe in customer service. We have done hundreds of palapas and never had a complaint till now. We take the extra steps to make sure our customers get a quality product at a fair price. The [redacted]’s bought a kit Palapa that used cheap materials. It was not one that we built. Back in 2014 we did the repair work. We only replaced part of the roof. The existing wood from the original Palapa broke and now she is trying to say it is ours. She also states each time I called I asked for more money. The fact is we only spoke once and I never quoted her a price for repairing the Palapa. We only use pressure treated lumber and we only provide a warranty on work we did and material we used. It was one of the original poles from their kit Palapa that broke. Therefore, we felt a service charge was fair. To be honest this complaint should never have been filed. We consider the matter closed.

In response to compliant from Mr F[redacted] we here at Par worked very hard to make 1968 rider run as good as the day you got it , as our original conversation about putting on a used motor. Please note our conversation of your 5 horse motor with a one inch shaft, non-electric start, was not an option...

for my used motors. Our conversations were that the only way to do the one inch shaft with the used motors were electric start only. You and I then discussed another motor that may have been a possibilty, but then the dilema was it was a 3/4 shaft that we had to take to an inch. You were concerned with changing the pully due to the weight counter balance for torque on the old motor. We then discussed a shaft bushing to bring it to one ich, which I ordered, and we found it would not work with your pully. You and I then discussed a rebuild on your motor. You asked if we were able to get parts and I was able to get new piston rings, gaskets and seals. You OK'd the rebuild and advised me that there were parts missing on the carb. You said you werent worried about that, as long as you had throttle control. We then proceeded to rebuild motor and installed motor on your mower. As we were breaking it in, you came and needed to pick it up. We discussed that there was no choke because those parts were missing, which caused a hard cold start, but you had throttle control. You left with the mower, but returned it to our shop a week later with two parts motors, in hopes that those parts would fit for your choke since parts were unavailable for your original motor. After looking at the parts we were able to determine a way to alter them to make them work on your carburator. We installed your parts and after putting all of our effort in to the used parts, we were able to make the choke work and cold start on three pulls. We then ran the mower through very tall grass on a 40 minute break- in. Mower performed flawlessly. The governer, throttle and drive all performed as expected. No oil leaks or smoke. We then called, emailed and facebook messaged you with no response. Your mower sat here for 3 weeks, as we continued to try to contact you. You then came on a day we were closed and retrieved your mower and your two provided parts motors. We never billed you for the second repair that was not part of our oroginal work order. We at PAR feel that we have done all we can to make this situation right. We have honored all complaints. This was a very complicated repair order from the begining and we never gave up on figuring out a way to make your 1968 mower run again. We spent countless unbilled hours making that work. We hope the mower continues to run well for you.
