If you don't even relay the message who do now. These apartments have had so many different mangers and have done poorly

The Park At Galaway Response • Jul 16, 2019

We have made numerous attempts to address issues in their apartment. The problem is that the apartment is unkempt and has a great deal of trash in it. We cannot do our work because of it. The Manager has plenty of pictures to illustrate the issues.

WE WANT TO FIX EVERY ISSUE but can't because of access.

These apartments have no sense of urgency to help their tenants. I lived here for two months. I've had a broken window from a break in for a month now. My heat hasn't worked for a month. It took them a week and half to change my locks(After someone broke in and had my spare key)I have complained and called and made work orders. It has been 20-30 degrees outside, and I haven't had heat. You have to call the emergency line 10 times just to get them to answer. I also had issues with water not being hot. If you live here you can't be nice to get things done. I spend more time calling and going to the office than I do anything else. I was also told the security gate would be fixed 2 week after I moved in. It is still broke. They have a security guard who sits on his phone in his car in the front. I've had someone steal my Christmas wreath off my door.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I want the apartment to work with me. You cant let someone almost paying 1000 a month go days with hot water, a month without heat, and a month with a broken window. I will not pay rent until I can live in a suitable environment. I do not believe I should have to pay the full rent.

Hey Ms.,

I sincerely apologize for what seems to be a lack of urgency to repair your work orders. Please come into the leasing office at your earliest to speak with the community manager to have your issues resolved. We will get it resolved.

My apartment has flooded twice this week thereafter they came out and replaced pipes. I'm currently living in a hotel do to this matter.. Luckily I had rentals insurance to accommodate me , otherwise I wouldn't have a dry nor secure place for me and my family.. after going into the office complaining several times about this matter of the pipes busting and air seaping in from the outside , they stated there was nothing they could do...I have not been late on my rent ever since I moved there in March of 2017.They also stated there would be no concessions because it's not on their end.I have a newborn baby and with the water that covered my apartment, I'm worried about mold and lead.. the management office stated that the matter was fixed through email .. shortly after returning my apartment had flooded again.. they don't know the severity of this matter because no one besides the people who came out to get the water up knows of this problem . they are unprofessional and at this point I feel helpless.. they stated they couldn't give out the property management number .. the hvac PEOPLE told me there was over a 160 gallons of water in my apartment.. overall I'm livid at this point.. I've missed SEVERAL days at work so on top of me losing money I've also lost almost everything in my downstairs area..My carpet has been ripped up and there's no padding underneath..THIS APARTMENT IS NOT LIVABLE

Desired Outcome

Refund This matter needs attention ..I will like to further it by going to court and will like my wages to be paid for the days I missed at work.. also I shouldn't have had to pay rent because I've not spent one day at my residence this year.. please help

Some of the accusations in the complaint is untrue. Yes there was a flood in the apartment beyond our control. Per your lease agreement, every tenant is required to obtain renters insurance for cases as this. Ms. was offered to transfer into another apartment, but she refused. Ms. was given a rental concession per our corporate office for the inconvenience she has endured. Ms. apartment was immediately dried by a professional restoration company after the flooding, so mold is something that she does not have to worry about. She has refused to cooperate with us to finish the necessary repairs in her apartment. We have been very accommodating and very professional to Ms., even during times of her loud outbursts and cursing towards staff members in the office. Due to the numerous threats towards staff members, Ms. has been given a 30-day notice to vacate her apartment. She will be vacating on or before 02/28/2018.

No repairs have been made..I have pictures to prove that. My lease was terminated after the fact I was called ignorant for asking necessary questions about my living situation..They are unprofessional rude and they don't care about people and what they're going through (because it isn't them). They dont understand the serverty of our situations because they don't come out to see. . everyone in that office thinks the tenants are crazy, like we shouldn't have an opinion. .luckily for my insurance company, my family and I have been In a safe environment. Nevertheless my family hasn't had a home cooked meal in over a month being that my whole entire kitchen is stripped no sink. The floors are like concrete and the same carpet has been layed after being flooded twice. .I have no reason to lie about anything..I have pictures emails from the office ststing thst our repsies were done but as of today 2/21/2018 nothing had been done...SO WHO IS THE LIAR IN THIS SITUATION

Hi! We are the tenants in *** We lived out here for 2 in a half years, We were was staying at *** it was nothing wrong with this unit until the month of July. Our AC went out 4 times since we have been staying there and we have just moved in. We have reported to the managers about our ac problem and it took them forever to come fix it which was until the end of August. We would have done what anybody else would do ...open the window, but we couldn't at the time because they were nailed shut. So as the months went past we had an electrical fire it was on the news In October we had to move but they jacked our rent up, So it went from 845 to 945 its was suppose to stay the same. The situation of what happen wasn't our fault, but by us being young they took advantage of us because we didn't know we was just ready to get into another unit. So now we have moved into our new unit it was fine for a moment but we have ants, roaches and slugs crawling everywhere we told the rent office they thought it was our doing .In January we couldn't get cable because someone else cable was on the unit still. In June I reported the kitchen, bathroom, and hallway lights was out months at a time we told them but they didn't get it done until 3 to 4 months later. Which was In September and our sockets plug are still out of the wall and patio light still doesn't work and that is a safety hazard as I send you this email. The half bath toilet is intolerable In order for us to flush we have to use a bucket of water. Coming up the stairs of the unit we have this awful smell now and we have no idea where it's coming from the hallway light is hanging from the Ceiling by a thread. The master bathroom and second large bedroom has a spot on the ceiling like it's a water puddle stain we have reported it but they haven't came to fix it. In the second largest room there is mold. The hallway bathroom upstairs we have been having issues with since we moved in the unit. The toilet doesn't want to flush-and we are not able to take a shower if so the ceiling will leak again. At the end of September our ceiling have caved in, 2days after the incident I reported that the ceiling needs to be repaired they put something up but that still is half done and it is now the beginning of November. In the Rent office we can not use our gate pass to get in on side of the building to wash our clothes and the associates there are never there on a Sunday and they are very rude. At this point I am done with these apartments I feel as if we are paying almost 1,000 dollars a month there, so it shouldn't be nothing wrong with this unit because we only been here a year and I would like, that our lease be terminated with no restraints because these are too many issues in one unit. And I will be gettin a lawyer at this moment.
Sincerely,
Tenants

Desired Outcome

Finish the job Terminate the lease

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

Nonstop issues with the quality of the unit I have been renting from Parkside at Camp Creek since the beginning of my lease term. It began with an issue of a raccoon nesting inside of my roof. I immediately contacted management and informed them of the raccoon. It was about a week before they did anything. They set a trap to catch the raccoon I had provided proof and pictures of but ended up catching a cat. That being said, they put a board over one of the entry holes but did not clean the roof for rodent waste nor was the other entryway blocked off. Then, a pipe was leaking in the HVAC closet and led to black mold and a mushroom growing out of my carpet.. I informed management of this and they insisted it was only mildew and they would address the mildew. It took about 3 weeks before they did anything. I had a quality air inspector take samples of the mold spores in the home as I became ill and the home was inhabitable. The results proved the count was extremely high and precaution should be taken before residing in the home again. I went to corporate because nothing was being done. It was after I cleaned the home myself and had corporate force them into doing something that anything was done. They deodorize the carpet as a mushroom was growing out and replaced only half of the floor board and painted over the infected Sheetrock. Was able to prove repairs were not acceptable and they had a man replace one of the Sheetrock sections but still painted over the mold that was behind the HVAC unit. They never retested the home to confirm it was safe or not. Tropic storm occurred and my roof began to leak where the hole was from the prior raccoon issue. Water stain on ceiling sat for weeks until they spray painted over it today but still left the hole untouched on the outside of the unit. I was told that the roof was fixed by management and a random lady in my home after having a code enforcement officer "inspect".
I have two toddlers and I feel the home becoming more and more unsafe.
