Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI did purchase a gift certificate through restaurants.com, and as previously stated, checked both the offer and The Pasta Tree's website for any indication of an exclusion for the day I made a reservation forThis reservation was made online through the OpenTable.com, and this may have been why no new exclusions were able to be introducedAgain, these exclusions were only introduced after purchasing the gift certificate, making a reservation, going to the restaurant and purchasing drinksAfter walking into the restaurant, witnessing a heated argument between a patron and waitstaff, placing a drink order, and then realizing the verbal altercation between the waitstaff and a patron was over the same gift certificate I had, the atmosphere, despite its balloons, felt hostile and unwelcoming, not romanticWhen I was told by my waiter, after placing my dinner order, that they wouldn't be accepting "coupons," I informed him that I witnessed the fight the establishment had with its patron and had paid for the same gift certificateHe then told me the owner can do as she wants and shruggedI do not know why the owner feels that I would then want to bring this up with her - and possibly get into a similar argument, further ruining the eveningI decided not to begin fighting, try to enjoy my meal and dessert, and bring up the issue in a calm, mutual manner instead of threatening to leave without paying and let police sort it out (this is exactly how the other patron's evening went)I would consider this to be much less extreme than risking law enforcement interventionI do not understand why, on such a busy and important night, the staff decided to host a fight with patrons over such a petty amount of moneyI do not want to seek out a refund from restaurants.com, who upheld their end of the deal, I want The Pasta Tree to honor the gift certificate, which is their obligationI made a good faith effort to find exclusions and found noneThe gift certificate (which I paid for) was a factor in deciding to go to The Pasta Tree, and I was only informed of (newly imposed) exclusions after orderingI consider this to be so dishonest and I am at a loss for why honoring this gift certificate is so worth fighting againstRegards, *** ***

certificates and gift cards that day and will always honor them unless expired. If it does end up that he has a voucher that he purchased from an outside party, he would need to contact them about a refund. I am at this moment on the line on hold with Restaurant.com because I have a feeling he bought it from them. They sell discounted vouchers such as a $25 voucher for $10 hence the reason I would like to see the “Pasta Tree gift Certificate” and receipt. With Restaurant.com when I signed up, they did not offer to change times or dates that it was valid. They now offer that option and the changes have been made. With Living Social and other discounted vouchers it states directly on the voucher that it is not valid on specified holidays.
I’m not sure if you live in the Milwaukee area, but my restaurant was absolutely stunning and very romantic. We had over 250 roses, 250 balloons and did over 600 covers and only received 2 complaints all weekend.

Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. But until we see his “Pasta Tree Gift Certificate” there isn’t much more I can say or do.
I will say, I wish he would of contacted me personally at The Pasta Tree with his concerns. I would of made a point of personally inviting him in on an evening I was in the kitchen cooking to insure he had a wonderful time. But he chose to contact you. A bit extreme in my opinion.

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I did purchase a gift certificate through restaurants.com, and as previously stated, checked both the offer and The Pasta Tree's website for any indication of an exclusion for the day I made a reservation for. This reservation was made online through the OpenTable.com, and this may have been why no new exclusions were able to be introduced. Again, these exclusions were only introduced after purchasing the gift certificate, making a reservation, going to the restaurant and purchasing drinks. After walking into the restaurant, witnessing a heated argument between a patron and waitstaff, placing a drink order, and then realizing the verbal altercation between the waitstaff and a patron was over the same gift certificate I had, the atmosphere, despite its balloons, felt hostile and unwelcoming, not romantic. When I was told by my waiter, after placing my dinner order, that they wouldn't be accepting "coupons," I informed him that I witnessed the fight the establishment had with its patron and had paid for the same gift certificate. He then told me the owner can do as she wants and shrugged. I do not know why the owner feels that I would then want to bring this up with her - and possibly get into a similar argument, further ruining the evening.I decided not to begin fighting, try to enjoy my meal and dessert, and bring up the issue in a calm, mutual manner instead of threatening to leave without paying and let police sort it out (this is exactly how the other patron's evening went). I would consider this to be much less extreme than risking law enforcement intervention. I do not understand why, on such a busy and important night, the staff decided to host a fight with patrons over such a petty amount of money. I do not want to seek out a refund from restaurants.com, who upheld their end of the deal, I want The Pasta Tree to honor the gift certificate, which is their obligation.I made a good faith effort to find exclusions and found none. The gift certificate (which I paid for) was a factor in deciding to go to The Pasta Tree, and I was only informed of (newly imposed) exclusions after ordering. I consider this to be so dishonest and I am at a loss for why honoring this gift certificate is so worth fighting against. Regards, [redacted]
