Once every three months we send this customer a bill on a postcardThat is four bills per yearTwo out of those four bills
were lateWhen this happens we send out a Past Due Notice on a full sheet of paper in an envelopeThe most recent bill was due clear back in May, and when the payment was not received by June 17, service is suspended until payment is receivedNot just his, but any customer we haveNo payment, no serviceThis has been happening more frequently with this particular customerFurthermore, our mail person does not arrive at our office with the daily mail until the afternoonSometimes as late as pmFor instance, the mail that comes to our office on Thursday does not get opened and posted into the computers until FridayWhen their payment finally did come in the mail on Thursday, we did not post it in the computer until Friday, which was not enough time to contact the driver of his routeIt has to be received two days prior to the pick up day
What it comes down to is people do not take responsibility for paying their own billsSomeone else is always to blame

All of our customers pay for weekly trash serviceThis means trash is to be set out every week for us to pick upWe drive
by a stop every week to check for trashIf a customer is on vacation they call to tell us they are going to be goneWe can only give credit if a customer is gone for a month or more, but we have to know they are goneWhen trash is stock piled and saved for a month at a time and then set out the cans tend to get heavyAlso, when a can is filled with walnuts and pumpkins it is very heavy too, and that is what happened on said occasion of cans breakingThe only way to pick up the can is by the handles, which broke when it was picked up because of the weight of the can
Their payment is due only four times throughout the year, and it's always the same due dateJanuary 15th, April 15th, July 15th, and October 15th of every yearThey never pay it on time, AND we have a five day grace periodWhich means late fees are not applied until the 20th of the monthSo when a woman called and immediately started screaming (literally screaming so loud that her speech was almost unrecognizable) at one of the oweners of this company about a late fee, she was told that we do not need to be treated as such, and to find another company that suits her needs better
OFFER:
No offerThey owe us no money and we will not pay for cans that they put too much heavy trash into
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2016/01/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We have called in on several different occasions, and just like their response on this complaint, they take no responsibility for anything, or give credit to customers who have been doing business with them for yearsMy payments that I send are scheduled through my bank's electronic bill pay, and although they are taken from my account on a certain date, the delivery is delayed in terms of when they are sent from my bankAnd to say we never pay our bill on time is stretching it, but regardless they have been paid, never have been willing to waive a late fee of $when asked, even when a payment is a day or two past the "grace period"The $is just extra money that they have collected, so the fact that we have been a customer of theirs for so long, by refunding us for the trash cans of $30, it would basically be like giving us the $fees back that we have paid themIt was Halloween, so yes, we had pumpkins to throw out, we didn't stock pile trash for a month as stated aboveOur trash has been out at the curve every week that we have been homeSo, I am still requesting a refund of the $I spent on trash cans that they broke ($each)

We are not giving these people any moneyThey are just dishonest people looking for any way they can to get something for nothingWe DO NOT make our customers sign contracts stating that no harm will come to their cansWhen cans are over filled with heavy items accidents are going to happenIn all reality we don't charge customers to set out anything but household trash, so they should have been charged a fee for the pumpkins
We have many other satisfied customers that do not scream at us, and pay their bills on timeWe do not get other complaints like this because if we did then we would be looking into the issue
We have not received several calls from them requesting late fees to be waivedThis is the first we have heard of thisAlso, it is not difficult to change the day the bank mails the check to us, as we have done this same thingWe get several bank checks every month, and they are always paid on time
