Was hired by Mr *** to do some drywall repair work in mid december..job was to repair stress cracks in walls and ceilings..there was an area in the kitchen that me nor my worker could reach..told Mr *** that I could send another person out the next day to finish the job and do any touch ups that
needed to be done and for the inconvenience of having to come out another day I would also have my worker paint the areas we repaired at no charge..as we were leaving for the first day Mr *** asked if he should pay me now or wait until the next day..I told him it was his decision..he said he'd pay me now..which he did with a check..the next morning my worker arrives at Mr *** home and finishes repairing the area that we couldn't the day before..I take the paint to the house around 1230pm and talk to Mr *** and my worker for about 10mins..after I leave my worker calls me not even mins after I left stating that Mr *** shut the job down and I needed to call him..when I speak to Mr *** he says that he wasn't happy with the job and wanted a refund..I initially agreed to give home the refund because I didn't want to to get a bad review..but after a couple days to think about it I decided not to..I just felt as if he was trying to get a free job..if he wasn't happy with the work he wouldn't have paid the first day without checking the work..if he wasn't happy with the work he shouldn't have let me send another worker out there the next day..if he wasn't happy with the work he could've said something when I dropped the paint off and was talking to him..instead he lets my worker finish the area that couldn't be reached..Mr *** didn't even give us a chance to fix whatever it was about the project that he didn't like..just seemed kind of fishy to me

*** ***On 12/05/I hired *** *** to repair drywall cracks on my walls and ceilings for $On Thursday 12/14/Mr*** and his crew arrived at approximately am to start the jobMr*** came in with a step ladder which surprised me because I have high ceilings in my houseI let Mr*** and his crew use my foot ladder so they could reach the ceilingsWhy would Mr*** show up with a step ladder after he gave me the estimate for the job and saw the ceilings heights? (Not very well equipped for being in the drywall repair business)Also Mr*** had an upright vacuum used for vacuuming carpet not very good for vacuuming up drywall dust on the walls, floors and woodwork, a shop vacuum would do a much better job, I Know because I have done drywall repair workMr*** informed me that they could not reach the cracks on the kitchen ceiling but would have another worker come on Friday to finish itAgain why would Mr*** take the job if he did not have the proper equipment? The estimate stated “remove and replace joint tape in areas of living room, bedroom and kitchen”Mr*** and his crew did not follow the estimate and remove the joint tape they just put fiberglass joint tape over the cracksI thought they knew what they were doing because they are in the drywall business but I was very wrong!!!!So Mr*** and his crew left at approximately 3pm and another worker will come back at 9am on Friday 12/15/to repair the kitchen ceiling and finish the other repairsI offered to pay Mr*** the $he said it was up to me so I gave him the Check for $(Big mistake)Mr*** Stated in his letter that I was trying to get a free job if that was true why would I give him the Check for $400.00? I want a good job done not a free job which did not happenThey left the house very dusty also dripped drywall joint compound on the carpet, but I assumed they would do a cleanup on Friday.On Friday 12/15/the worker showed up an hour late after 10amMr*** showed up around 1230pm with the paintI did tell him about the joint compound on the carpet he wiped some of it offThe worker started to paint some of the repair areas they only had a roller and bucket of paint no roller tray so the worker had to dip the roller in the paint and roll it on the wall and ceiling in the living room (Not properly equipped)At approximately pm Mr*** leftI looked at the areas that the worker painted and they looked terrible paint runs, the drywall compound lumpy and uneven not sanded smooth, with pin holes and drywall compound on the wood trimAlso my track lighting on my kitchen ceiling was covered with drywall joint compoundAt that point I had enough I told the worker to stop, pickup his tools and leave, I told him the repair areas look horribleI would have been better off just painting over the stress cracks because the repairs look much worseAfter the worker left Mr*** called me and asked what I did not like about the job I told him that the repairs looked horrible and that I want a refund of my $He agreed but said he cash the check already but would send me a check for $and that never happenMr*** never offered to come over to discuss the problems with the repairs he just offered to send a work over to repair the areas which I said no because they would make the project much worse than it is.On Friday 12/29/I also made a complaint with “The Patch Boys” company and I also called, I did not get the name of the person I spoke with but when I tried to explain to him about the situation he would cut me off and stated “I have to get *** *** side of it”He told me this is the New Year’s weekend and is not the time or place to discuss it he was very rudeI never received a call back from The Patch Boys Company or an offer from a representative to come to my house to look at the poor repairs and find a solution to the problem (poor customer service!!!!)
