*** *** came into the shop 11/04/and the engine was diagnosed as being in need of being replacedpitting in the #piston due to coolant intrusion. The customer left without wanting to put in a remanufactured engine and chose to try and repair it at home. After failing to get
it to run correctly, he returned and asked us to repair it as best as possible for as little as possible. We pulled off the cylinder head and sent it out to a machine shopreassembled it and returned the vehicle to him in running order with a 30mo/30,warranty on the work we performedJump forward to January 20th when he came into the shop with a noise that did not sound good. We recommended that we would need to remove the manifolds to look closer into what sounded like a cracked exhaust manifold/ or bad manifold gasketIt had been months and 62,miles since the original repairWe tried to get him financing, yet he was declined. He had no money for the repair and therefore asked if we thought it would hurt the engine to continue to drive until he had funds available. I indicated that I could not guarantee anything, but that he may be fineI was not interested in extending him credit due to past experiencesHe drove away of his own free will, knowing that he could not afford a repair at this time any way he looked at it. It is uncertain what happened to the engine, however we have surpassed the original warrantee by twice the mileage. In looking back through the files, in those miles *** *** should have had the oil changed and examined approximately timeshowever, he had only come into the shop times for oil changes in all of those milesThe vehicle was never seen again for periodic valve train adjustmentsWe have spoken to *** *** and given him this basic reply that we are not responsible for this issue

?? ?? This Guy is The REAL Deal. I have never been so thoroughly educated on what was going on with my vehicle. He is the most patient and honorable dude I've ever had the pleasure of taking my car too. Finding a guy like this, in this day in age is like finding a needle in a hay stack. I love the fact that he tells me what is an immediate need and what I can expect down the road. Its hard to afford to fix and maintain everything at once. I was referred to Mike by my dad who use to be a mechanic and finds fault in everyone except Mike. I've been going to see Mike for 7 years now. Go see him, you will not be disappointed.
