The Pest Control Authority Reviews (%countItem)

Be careful when using this business, or any similar business. Make sure you ask all the right questions, and get it in writing.
I just learned an expensive lesson. Thought from our phone conversation that this company
would place a trap in the attic, where my problem was. When field tech came out, he basically
refused to put one there, siting liability issues.
Learned this company only places traps outside, which does not guarantee success. I had
raccoon problems, and long story short, I paid $610.00 to catch a possum.
So make sure you have a clear understanding of what WILL and WON'T be done.

had covered an entrance and by mistake trapped raccoons in his attic before he called PCA. We asked him to remove the covering so we could trap on 4/2/20. He waned the trap in the attic. We almost always trap outside for logistical/safety reasons. We made five (5) more trap check visits and caught an opossum. *** didn't tell us the raccoons left the week before after we started trapping and he had sealed the hole again. I was not aware of his displeasure until I got your notice of 5/2/2020; see attached emails. I tried to remedy the situation, but he failed to reply see 2nd email offering financial or service considerations.

This statement is incorrect. I didn't cover the entrance until the raccoons had left the attic, which was the next day after I contacted
PCA.

When I had a live animal caught in a chimney I called PCA for their wildlife removal service. The technicians came out and looked down into my chinmey from above and up into it from below. They also used a periscope camera. The lead tech said he thought he saw something but was not sure. If there was something he said it was probably a bird and that it would not be bad about "dropping maggots". Any odor that ensued could be taken care of by putting bags of coffee around the fireplace. The animal continued to struggle for a couple of days and went quiet. It began decomposing and producing a horrible stench and huge swarms of flies. My conversations with the technician at this point yielded no help.He said his "hands are tied". He had also promised to send me a proposal regarding sealing the chimney with mesh so this could not happen again. He never sent it. This deal was supposed to be so that I got something for the $150 that I paid him. I finally called a chimney sweep. He removed a dead duck from the floor of the fireplace right beside the stove insert. It took him a few minutes. I paid for a sweep and inspection as I had agreed to, just to get anyone to deal with this.I paid $450 for this. I was glad to get a resolution to the situation but the animal removal tech should have been able to get the bird out on the initial visit.
Product_Or_Service: Animal removal

Desired Outcome

Refund I should have my $150 refunded because I got absolutely nothing for it.

Pest Control Authority has issued me a refund check for the full amount. I had a conversation with them and I felt that I was understood and treated fairly. Thank you Pest Control Authority for being an ethical business.

I have called/emailed several times about
A) payment- I set up auto payment they still don't do that
B) after the second year I emailed/ called and
that the treatment isn't working and to please stop coming to the house then I get another bill for 300.00. I come home again last night to mail stating they're coming 9/11 WRONG come come to a tag on the door 9/6 they sprayed sent them a email they have never called never tried to do anything even payment now my bill is over 400.00 and with 4 extra says that I didn't want..still customer service is down the drain and my husband and myself work with people on a day to day basis. I had emailed Lisa *** I typically never would go this far but I'am at a dead end with people who do not listen at all.
June 5th was the first email
July 6th stating its not working, that day called and cancelled
Aug 16th my brother visited and called me told me that some people were here spraying -Are you kidding me

Desired Outcome

the last 4 treatments taken off and them to never come to my house again.

The Pest Control Authority Response

I am very sorry that you are unhappy with the service. We try to make sure all of our customers are satisfied beyond their expectations. I have researched your account and we have no record of you ever attempting to cancel your service with us. Concerning the auto pay, we did make multiple attempts to process payment but were unable.

In 37 years in business we have never received a complaint with the Revdex.com, If you have a moment I would love the opportunity to speak with you to try to resolve this matter so the outcome is pleasing for both parties

Customer Response

I have called and canceled and emailed that I would like my services canceled. My husband called to try and sort the billing out and was told the account manager was on vacation and he would be contacted when she returned, but never was. I would appreciate the last 4 treatments removed from my bill as that is how long I've been trying to cancel and will gladly pay the remainder.
