NEVER take your dog to this place. I left for my wedding, abroad, for two weeks. Online the place looked beautiful and had good [redacted] reviews. What I didn't notice is there were additional "not recommended" [redacted] reviews, which showed the true nature of this place. When I first arrived, my dogs were taken from me abruptly to fill out paper work, and I assumed I would have the chance to say goodbye after. The staff took my check, rushed me through paperwork and sent me off. When I asked to see my dogs, he said I can't, and that he has a van of dogs about to arrive. I was nervous that a with up to 70 dogs residing at camp, there was such little staff that he had to rush me so badly. I can't imagine that anyone would be ok with having their dogs abruptly walked away from them and then told they can't go back over to say goodbye. I know it would cause a ruckus with the other dogs, but I should have been told this, as I did not get to say bye to my dogs that I have never left alone for 2 weeks before. I also was rushed through paperwork because the Staff member had to meet a van from the city. I was rushed within 5 minutes of arriving and was not even allowed to see the Stall my dogs would be staying in and be able to at least feel secure about where I am leaving them for 2 weeks. It was like I wrote a check and the staff member had to run. I feel very unsettled with this and was devastated I couldn't say goodbye to my dogs, while watching them cry from behind the gate. I asked that they please send me pictures of where my dogs will be staying overnight, to feel more settled about the situation. Three days and 3 emails later, they sent me one picture of the empty stall. Before coming, the website says they will send you pictures of your dogs while you are away. Also, when I emiled the owner to express that I was very rushed by the staff and felt unsettled, there was no apology, just got very defensive saying noone else has ever said his worker was discourteous (a word I NEVER used or hinted at). When picking up my dogs, Koda and Kaya, the staff member,John, pointed out a scratch on koda's forehead. He said it must have happened while my dogs were alone in their room and "roughhousing". I thought this was strange because they are alone for hours together, and I have never came home to open skin, or even a scratch. Then, at night, I noticed koda licking and uncovered a huge gash on his behind. There is no way Kaya did this to him. I know how my dogs wrestle and have never ever done anything to actually harm each other. When we pulled up, there was one staff with at least 40 dogs. Instead of blaming my other dog for hurting the other, they should pay more attention into how much staff is watching your dogs. These are also very strange spots for a dog to be attacked and I am sickened by this. From the moment I dropped them off, I had a bad feeling. And wish I would have listened to it. The owner's original response back defended his employee rather than make his own customer feel at ease. I never called him "uncourteous". Just said that I felt unsettled with the process. And the owner showed zero remorse for a paying customer and owner of pets that are dear to me. You would assume they would be dog lovers and attentive to the owners, whose pets are so dear to them. My dog has to be taken to the vet now and looked at these huge gashes that the staff member tried to hide the one on his behind( I couldn't see scab under the fur until I felt it later at night), and blamed the forehead cut on my other dog. Please do not take your precious babies here.
