Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The fact remains that however it happened, whether it was cheatgrass or not, my dog was injured while under the care of The Pet Sitter of Boise and according to the owner, neither of the sitters noticed the injuryHad they noticed, I would have expected that they notify me of the injury to ask for instructions, such as should the dog be taken to the vetThis did not happenI expect any pet sitters who care for my dogs to observe the dogs for injuriesI noticed the injury instantly when I returned homeI am not asking the business to reimburse me for my vet bills, merely to refund the money I paid for their service because I felt it was unsatisfactory, based on my dog's injury.Regards,*** ***

Response: As the owner of The Pet Sitter of Boise, LLC, I deeply respect and appreciate all of The Pet Sitter of Boise's clients, but especially those clients who are willing to take official actions to protect their pets. My employees and I strive to make pet visits good experiences for the pets, and hiring a professional pet sitter a comfort for the pet owners. Therefore, we are sad when something goes wrong for any reason. The sitters working for the Pet Sitter of Boise love animals, and care deeply for the welfare of every dog, cat, horse, goat, iguana, and other animals in our charge. We offer our sympathy that one of our charges has been coping with a painful injury to the paw, and offer our best wishes for a speedy recovery. My company, The Pet Sitter of Boise, LLC, provided two 1/2-hour pet sitting visits per day for [redacted] June 13-21, 2015. The two employees (sitters) assigned to the job met with Ms. [redacted] in May in preparation for caring for the dogs on another occasion. Ms. [redacted] showed the sitters the routine, and introduced the sitters to the dogs. Both sitters reported that Ms. [redacted] instructed them to allow the dogs to run freely, off leash, on the 5-acre property, including the unmaintained back pasture. The employees followed Ms. [redacted]'s instructions, and texted photos and updates after each visit. All employees of The Pet Sitter of Boise, LLC have been instructed to notify clients and me immediately of any unusual incidents or apparent injuries or illness during their time with client pets. Neither sitter saw or reported any injuries to Ms. [redacted]'s dogs during any of the visits. On Friday, August 14, two months after the engagement of service ended, I received an email from Ms. [redacted] to report an injury, and ask for a full refund for services performed June 13-21. Ms. [redacted] wrote that she felt she was owed a refund because the sitters failed to properly check her dogs for injuries or cheatgrass. After receiving this email, I confirmed with the sitters that neither sitter allowed the dogs anywhere but on Ms. [redacted]'s property. I also called Ms. [redacted]. During this phone call, Ms. [redacted] said she believed the injury was caused by cheatgrass that grows on her property. I confirmed that she instructed the employees to run the dogs in the area where the cheatgrass grows, and in all areas of her land. Ms. [redacted] did not inform the sitters of the presence of cheatgrass on her land, or request that the sitters examine the dogs for cheatgrass. Ms. [redacted] said she assumed that the sitters would know to do so. Ms. [redacted] said that she took her dog to the veterinarian for the injury on Saturday, June 27, 6 days after she said she discovered the injury. Ms. [redacted] said that the veterinarian did not find cheatgrass. I denied Ms. [redacted]'s request for a refund because I could not determine any negligence by Pet Sitter of Boise, LLC employees or myself. The sitters followed Ms. [redacted]'s instructions and provided care in a responsible, caring manner. Thank you. Regards,
