Review: The ceiling in my master bedroom started leaking water on June 2 2016. I called the emergency maintenance after hours number and reported the problem. The service person I spoke with said they would be by next day to look into issue. Since then I have not been able to get a return call or email from anyone in management. The leak has spread to 3 different spots now. Most recent contact with management was on July 7th when I spoke with Rue in the office and she told me she would have work order re-opened and put on emergency status. She stated that maintenance would call me next day (July 8th) and have issue resovled. I did not receive a call and no work was completed. July 15th will be 6 weeks since leak was reported to management and nothing has been done. I now have mold growing on my ceiling where the leaks are.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate if someone can please assist me in getting a response of this matter resolved so that I do not have to seek legal representation.
Review: Per California tenant law, management can't require you to pay to have your carpets professionally cleaned; however, The Phoenix does. Many people don't take the time to look into things like this, so they pay the money or have it taken out of their security deposit which is also illegal. Management doesn't communicate with their residents or care about integrity. This "business" isn't trustworthy.Desired Settlement: To deter people from living at The Phoenix. Management doesn't care about their residents and is never available. The leases are questionable at best and the staff never knows the answers to questions.
Review: I applied for an apartment and was denied on 11/20/14. I went to the phoenix apartments to retrieve my $100 money order for my deposit and was told that they had deposited it and I would be receiving a check. I said fine I will check back. A week later I went back and was told that they mailed the check to my previous address. I replied that I have no access to that mailbox and I told you up front that I am homeless. I asked that they write a new check that I can pick up from their office and they agreed but said they have to wait for the other check to come back. I told them to just cancel the check and issue a new one. I was told by Ryan and Shay that they will look into it. I also gave them my work address as it may be an easy way for me to receive it. As I am writing this it is 1/06/15 and I still have not received my deposit back. My calls are not returned and the account or finance manager who is apparently the only one who can help me is "never in the office". Please help in what way you can as I and my family are still homeless and any bit financially is a great help.Thank you,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I simply want my $100 deposit back
Review: My roommate and I made all payments on time and some early. When moving out of this apartment unit it was left more sanitary than given. The office representative conducting our leaving inspection stated that our deposit would cover the necessities such as light bulbs and carpet cleaning. The deposit was $99. A year later I noticed that this account was taken to collections in the amount off 124.63 which I have paid. Not only was this account wrongful but it has destroyed my credit. My roommate and I were made to believe we were in good standing. They failed to notify me of any changes.Desired Settlement: I am requesting that Woodlake Village contacts [redacted] which is their debt collector to remove this delinquency from my history. If not I will be forced to take legal action.
