. I am here to write based on costumer service alone because I never actually got to experience what I paid for. We had a trip planned for a bacherlorette party this past weekend. But due to Covid and the Governor releasing information about closing all bars and nightclubs 2 days before our trip based completely around bars and nightclubs, we decided to cancel. I called more than 48 hours in advance because I wanted them to be able to fill the slot. When I called the number listed on Google a man answered and was rude and tried to talk me into still showing up. The Pickled Pedaler not only kept my $212 deposit, but the entire cost of the whole tour ($412), even given the shut down circumstances. No reschedule, no credit, they just kept the money and took me off of the schedule. They said in order to get the money back (not including my large deposit) I would have had to cancel 14 days in advance. 14 days prior there were no closings and we still would have gone. I don't want to list names but the man who was "helping" was driving and kept cutting in and out of service. He then texted me from the same number. He couldn't find my original reservation or cancellation so I sent him screen shots of the emails and eventually said I was out of luck because I hadn't called soon enough. After reading other reviews I realized they had canceled all of their March tours and still charged the people who were scheduled with no refunds
I am sorry you feel this way. We always strive for the best experience possible. When we spoke to you on the day you cancelled we informed you that per our cancelation policy no refund is given inside 14 days. We also informed you prior to cancelling your tour that the bars in Indy are not closed and that the new mandate only applies to places that serve alcohol but not food such as night clubs. This does not effect any possible stops our bikes make. We also informed you that the no refund applied to the whole amount which had already been processed a few days prior to the cancellation. We informed you that the booking was still yours if you still wanted it after hearing this new information. You stated that with all this being the case you still wanted to cancel because you had made alternative plans and that you wish you had know that the bars were not in fact closed sooner. We apologize for the spotty reception on the phone calls when you tried to clarify our policy. We will work on improving our communication channels. Thank you and have a great day!
