Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below As expressed in an earlier email to the Revdex.com I am grateful to at last be discussing the matter with The Pines I did acknowledge in that email that a call was received from The Pines/ [redacted] a few hours after submitting my complaint to the Revdex.com but prior to that complaint being forwarded to The Pines I feel a need to make the following points: there has so far been only one phone call with [redacted] and I have been only once asked to have our daughter submit a letter to The Pines requesting information release My daughter mailed a request for information release on Tuesday, March 4th The letter is signed but [redacted] did not mention and I was not aware that the signature needed to be witnessed I would question that requirement since the letter asks for information to be released to my daughter, not me She plans to release the information personally to me That the point of information release remains outstanding is confusing to me since my daughter told me she signed an authorization for her case, including progress, to be discussed with me when she was admitted to The Pines [redacted] (of The Pines) verbally confirmed that to me in a separate conversation [redacted] also confirmed to me that that letter exists [redacted] indicated to me that further review of The Pines' financial language would be taking place and she would be getting back to me I look forward to reviewing additional information and continuing the discussion but I suspect there may be outstanding confusion around HIPAA requirements If there is anything else that formally needs to be put in place to allow discussions to continue please let me know, I am otherwise anxious to see the matter brought to resolution Regards, [redacted]

I write today to resolve a complaint about the Pines from 2/25/from [redacted] We have decided to come to an agreement with *** and refund her half her deposit She is "more than happy" with the agreed amount The check will go out to her We also will be sending her the records her daughter would like to reviewHopefully we can move forward with this and consider it resolved, leaving no harm to our reputation Thank you for your attention to this

Thank you for your letter alerting us to the Revdex.com complaint dated 2-25-2014 against our facility.
In response to this matter, I can confidently state that in speaking with the mother of the client pertaining to her daughter's treatment with us, and the financial issue she would like resolved, we have asked her twice to have her daughter submit a letter to The Pines, signed and witnessed, stating that we can release and/or discuss with her mother the progress notes in her file.
In accordance with mandatory HIPAA laws, we are unable to clarify or dispute the statements that the client has stated to her mother regarding her stay and her departure. Therefore, it is impossible to address the financial obligation the client agreed to, upon admission.
Please let us know if you need any additional information, we are more than willing to comply.

On behalf of The Pines Treatment and Recovery Center

I write today to resolve a complaint about the Pines from 2/25/2014 from [redacted].  We have decided to come to an agreement with [redacted] and refund her half her deposit.  She is "more than happy" with the agreed amount.  The check will go out to her.  We also will be sending her the records her daughter would like to review. Hopefully we can move forward with this and consider it resolved, leaving no harm to our reputation.

Thank you for your attention to this.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
As expressed in an earlier email to the Revdex.com I am grateful to at last be discussing the matter with The Pines.   I did acknowledge in that email that a call was received from The Pines/[redacted] a few hours after submitting my complaint to the Revdex.com but prior to that complaint being forwarded to The Pines.
I feel a need to make the following points:   there has so far been only one phone call with [redacted] and I have been only once asked to have our daughter submit a letter to The Pines requesting information release.  My daughter mailed a request for information release on Tuesday, March 4th 2014.  The letter is signed but [redacted] did not mention and I was not aware that the signature needed to be witnessed.  I would question that requirement since the letter asks for information to be released to my daughter, not me.  She plans to release the information personally to me.  That the point of information release remains outstanding is confusing to me since my daughter told me she signed an authorization for her case, including progress, to be discussed with me when she was admitted to The Pines.  [redacted] (of The Pines) verbally confirmed that to me in a separate conversation.  [redacted] also confirmed to me that that letter exists.
[redacted] indicated to me that further review of The Pines' financial language would be taking place and she would be getting back to me.  I look forward to reviewing additional information and continuing the discussion but I suspect there may be outstanding confusion around HIPAA requirements.  If there is anything else that formally needs to be put in place to allow discussions to continue please let me know, I am otherwise anxious to see the matter brought to resolution.
Regards,
[redacted]
