The Pittsburgh Painting Reviews (23)

Bill's responsiveness to our constant stream of painting needs is impeccable and an example of his high business standards. Always available to provide estimates for projects, identify the best quality team for our needs and ensure that the project is done to our entire satisfaction, are just three of the reasons that we enjoy working with him. Bill also makes sure that his painting crews are on time, focused and fastidious in cleaning up their work spaces. These painters are able to paint our very busy office spaces during business hours often with minimal disruption. Bill @ The Pittsburgh Painting Co. is a pleasure to work with ! Thank you, Bill! Please keep up the great work.

Really professional painting service. The Pittsburgh Painters have a big crew and are extremely knowledgeable working on older homes. Bill was great to work with and has good communication skills. I highly recommend this firm.

I've worked with The Pittsburgh Painting Co. on many occasions and seen them in action on a variety of homes. Their process is state of the art and their products are amazing and truly top of the line. I love their warranties and touch up programs! Highly recommended!

Bill and his crew showed up on time on September 18th to begin my paint job. We had to wait a few extra weeks for them to get here because of Bills back log, but it was well worth the wait. The men first power washed my complete home. Then one of Bills men noticed some rotten wood, and brought it to my attention. Bill gave me a good price to replace the bad wood on the left side of my home and it turned out great. Then the crew started scraping and sanding. I could not believe how much preparation these guys put into this home before painting. After 2 long days of preparation, the crew started priming and painting. I was very impressed how each guy worked together as a team, and how meticulous each of the workers were. I told Bill the owner that I was having a small gathering at the house in 2 weeks and his crew of 6 was complete with the paint job in 8 days. That's impressive in itself. Since then I have recommended The Pittsburgh Painting Co. to all my friends. I will definitely call them to paint my interior when my budget allows me.

The prep work was thorough from the office level to the paint job itself. The work crew was efficient, skillful, and quiet. The job was well done: neat and attractive. We will definitely consider using Pittsburgh painting again; they weren't the low bidders for our job, but the small difference in cost was more than offset by the thoroughness and quality of their work.

Exceeded all expectations! Great price and great quality. The painters were extremely professional and a pleasure to have around the house. My wife and I give them our highest recommendation!

Thanks Jack

They just finished the exterior of my home. I have to say, pulling in my driveway each day feels like Christmas! These guys work long and hard. Phenomenal prep work, no shortcuts, just quality work. I am amazed ???? Thanks Pittsburgh Painters

Thanks Steve for the review

I found these guys on Angies List and turned out to be A great decision. As the job went on I found out that that they did a friends home and they were thrilled with there new paint job as well. The men were fun to work with and also very helpful . I got more work for them in months to come and look forward to working with them again.

Look forward to working for you again in the future

Review: We had our house painted Fall 2011. Although most of the paint job was ok, the deck and railing paint started chipping by May 2012. We were told we have a 3 year warranty and contacted the company upon seeing the issues. We were told by [redacted] that he would come out and look at it. After months of calling/writing and having issues with him returning calls/e-mails, we finally got ahold of him in August 2012. He stated that he had come by although we never saw him visit. He said what he saw was "no big deal." He then stated someone would come by and fix it. No one came so I called and e-mailed for another 2 months and got ahold of him in October 2012. He said, "I just haven't gotten to it yet. I'll get to it when I have time." I waited until the Spring of 2013, and he didn't contact me so I called him 4 or 5 more times with no answers. At this point, we don't know if he is planning to honor his 3 year warranty since he doesn't return phone calls or e-mails.Desired Settlement: We would like a partial refund for the painting of the deck, but we are concerned that our 3 year house warranty will not be honored if we should have future issues.

Her deck peeled because she salted it during the winter. The deck and railings looked wonderful when we were finished with the project!!! Thanks Owner

Review: On May 30,2009, I signed a contract to have my house painted. My house was suppose to be power-washed completely first and then two coats of PPG finish paint. The power-washing was not done and when I questioned [redacted] (owner) why his workers did not do this he said that they felt it did not need done. I was guaranteed that there would not be a problem. Not even 6 months later the paint started to peel and I contacted [redacted] about the problem. A few weeks later Mr [redacted] stopped by to look at the paint and assured me that he would take care of the issue. Mr [redacted] has repeatedly promised me that he would correct this issue. Well it is over 5years now and Mr. [redacted] is still promising me that he will take care of this issue. I was told by his wife [redacted] that [redacted] was going to definitely be at my house with a crew July 1st, 2014. Well that, as all other promises did not happen.Desired Settlement: I would like my house completely repainted according to the original contract of which I have a copy.

This Customer is a mother in law of a friend. Big mistake doing a friend a favor. Her home was done perfect and we gave her a 3 year guarantee on the project. Her guarantee expired 6 years ago and now she wants a new paint job.!! That will not happen due to expired guarantee and job was done correctly.

Review: We hired the Pittsburgh Painting Company to paint the exterior of our home on August 24, 2012 with a 3 year warrenty on all labor and materials. About six weeks later the paint began to peel away from the shutters and flower box. We contacted the company and was told that they would come out the first week in April to repaint and to call them back then. We called April 1st and continued to call and leave messages until they finally called back at the end of April. We were told they would come out the next week and repaint the shutters and flower box, but they never came or called. We continued to leave messages and finally received a call back in May again telling us they would be out the next week, but they never called or came. We continued to call and finally were told they would be out June 13th, but they did not come or call. We then were told they would come June 25th and were asked to leave the old paint cans on the porch the night before, which we did. They did not show up or call. We have spent numerous hours calling and leaving messages and the owner always agrees to come and fix the problem but never shows up.Desired Settlement: We want them to come out and repaint the shutters and flower box within the next two weeks. We want it correctly pre-treated, sanded, and painted so it does not peel again.

This Was Settled

Review: We had exterior painting done on our house, including deck painting. The deck painting started cracking and peeling 4 days after being completed. I called the owner [redacted], on November 4, 2013, and he said he would fix it and come out that week. He never did come out. I called 2 more times in November and left messages. On January 13, 2014 I talked to [redacted] and he said he would fix in March once the deck would be dry. I have left messages on April 9th, May 19th & 30th and June 3rd. [redacted] has not made any effort, to fix the peeling on my deck, by returning my calls.Desired Settlement: I would like our deck prepared and painted correctly.
