Waited three weeks for them to come back and replace a valve in a toiletThe first guy ordered the wrong parts; the second guy put them on anyway and said to give it a try; the "try" did not work too wellThree weeks later I'm still waitingNow, after waiting several hours for the next "appointment", they don't remember telling me a time they would be outI called again and they said later todayfor sure

I personally took this call when her husband called in for service on a weekend During EVERY call taking session, it is explained to our customers that we have a $service fee to come to their home That the technician must come and make a professional assessment of the current situation, as each and every situation is different, and there are many variables involved in giving pricing for a job (type of piping, size of piping, length of run, etc) which is why we cannot give pricing over the phone Once the technician assesses, he will present the customer with several service level options to make a repair These options range from a premium level of service all the way down to a basic level of service, ALL of which will address the customer's problem These options are just thatoptions from which the customer is able to choose how much service they want, at a price that fits their budget Each level includes more service and in turn we can offer better warranties It is my understanding, that the customer whom wrote this letter, was upset about the pricing that the technician presented to her Her husband was accepting of the service fee and was aware that pricing would be given at that time and agreed to have us come out Maybe there was a lack in communication between the two? The husband was willing and did pay the service feeOur assistant manager actually called on Monday to ask why they declined service and the husband did say that he understood our policy, and that his wife didn't like the pricing structure and just thought the service was too expensive and didn't want to pay the service fee either Our assistant manager did explain to him what I have explained aboveThere was no mention of wanting his money back during that conversation I have no problem returning the $to these customers at all, and will issue a check back to them However, we do wish that they would have called and spoken to us directly about this so that we could work it out together Our goal is to provide an excellent customer service experience and gain lifetime clients We appreciate all feedback from our customersIf there are any other questions, please contact me directly at ###-###-#### Tracy B [redacted] , Manager

This company was assigned to me by my home insuranceThey investigated the problem, said they were going to give me an estimatedays later I still hadn't heard anythingThey cashed their check though for the estimate!!! I finally contacted the insurance company again and plumbing doctor says they weren't able to find the leak.....yet the written receipt I have from them says otherwise Guess they don't need business

Our hot water tank replacement was authorized by *** *** ***Their preferred vendor was "The Plumbing Doctor" out of HarlingenThey showed up on time and replaced the heating element but it failed a few days laterThey were rescheduled again, inspected the tank and ordered a new one from ***Several days later I was advised they ordered the wrong oneFirst call was Dec28/and final repair was January 9/That's a long time without hot waterBut that's not my complaintMy complaint is they the plumber on site added some material charges to the estimate but said, "don't worry, these are usually covered by ***"The job was completed within minutes but I was charged $for a "pipe modification"I think that is their flat feeIt sounds like a big job when you use the word "MODIFICATION" but it was to supply two 3/4slipX3/4thread fittings and glue them onThat's it$worth of parts and twenty secondsThat is absolutely ridiculousAlso paid for a $modification but that included $of pipe and minutesAt the time I thought the $charge was ok because I was advised by another plumber there that it also included the flex couplers and I know those are at least $retail but got quite peeved when I found out by *** a few days later that they covered those parts as wellSo recapservice call, tank and flex hoses covered by my InsurancePlumbing Doctor charged me $for $of parts and about minutes of laborWhere do I sign up to become a Plumber for "The Plumbing Doctor?"
I did not want to write this review but since the owner "Roberto ***" did not return my calls I felt it was my only prerogative to go with social mediaWhen dealing with this company:
get the estimate explained in detail and in writing, don't go with what the plumber on site sayswhen you call and get a break down of a charge and they say it includes "flex couplers" also get that it writingThey are extremely happy to cash your check but follow up was non existentBewareI'm not saying they are the worst but I would NEVER recommend themSubmitted with respect,

My experience with the Plumbing Doctor was excellentThey have professional and knowledgeable employeesThey went above and beyond to remove and replace my water heater this past labor day holiday weekendThey brought up to code my water heater space, that I did not know was not up to code Their price quotes were reasonable, and I would like to thank Robert and Maribel for their help on resolving my water heater issue with AHS

Now, after waiting several hours for the next "appointment", they don't remember telling me a time they would be out. I called again and they said later today... for sure...
