intention in finishing it for them so they have requested their $900.00 deposit back. However there is a bit more to this story. I was originally contacted by [redacted] Design to provide a quote with the [redacted] Family. They were looking for an estimate in an Overhead Structure, 2 gates, a decorative screen, and some bench seats. However [redacted] the prime contractor ([redacted] Design) forwarded my estimates directly to the owner and said to work directly with them. Which I was not comfortable with since day one since he forwarded it directly to them with out my consent. We charge a bit different when we work directly with homeowners because of the extra effort it takes to finalize a project. I provided my first set of estimates and designs in which only 1 was approved. The front entry gate. While working on the final design and budget for this project, Mr. [redacted] did not like any of the designs he could afford. Which made it extremely difficult to provide an accurate price and actually start on it. He changed his mind multiple times, and I built the gate twice before stoping completely. I made 3 trips total to his home in order to move forward and finish. He finally did provide a design he wanted me to move forward on that was within his budget. Which we started however we did not have the economical feasibility in order to complete it since we depleted his funds. We have invested $2,150.00 thus far on his project. Which I doubt he is taking into consideration. Once Mr. [redacted] and I had come to an agreement my small business started to go through some financial hardships do to injuries and employee loss. I had to step out of my business for close to two months because of an cellulitis infection and herniated disk. Which I understand is not Mr. [redacted]’s concern. I would like to pay Mr. [redacted]’s deposit back, however I am not sure how should I go about getting compensated for all the time and money I invested. I have multiple trips I made to his residence, gas, material, consumables, engineering. He has also threatened my father [redacted] Sr. that he will “blast” our company on social media. Again I understand his frustration I just do not agree with his tactics. Hopefully this gives you a bit more of an insight to the situation.[redacted]The POC Studio
