Good Afternoon,My name is [redacted] II and I am writing to you in regards to case number [redacted] I spoke last week with someone in the San Diego division and he was able to provide me with some guidanceI am in a situation where our client is claiming we have not done our job and have no intention in finishing it for them so they have requested their $deposit backHowever there is a bit more to this storyI was originally contacted by [redacted] Design to provide a quote with the [redacted] FamilyThey were looking for an estimate in an Overhead Structure, gates, a decorative screen, and some bench seatsHowever [redacted] the prime contractor ( [redacted] Design) forwarded my estimates directly to the owner and said to work directly with themWhich I was not comfortable with since day one since he forwarded it directly to them with out my consentWe charge a bit different when we work directly with homeowners because of the extra effort it takes to finalize a projectI provided my first set of estimates and designs in which only was approvedThe front entry gateWhile working on the final design and budget for this project, Mr [redacted] did not like any of the designs he could affordWhich made it extremely difficult to provide an accurate price and actually start on itHe changed his mind multiple times, and I built the gate twice before stoping completelyI made trips total to his home in order to move forward and finishHe finally did provide a design he wanted me to move forward on that was within his budgetWhich we started however we did not have the economical feasibility in order to complete it since we depleted his fundsWe have invested $2,thus far on his projectWhich I doubt he is taking into considerationOnce Mr [redacted] and I had come to an agreement my small business started to go through some financial hardships do to injuries and employee lossI had to step out of my business for close to two months because of an cellulitis infection and herniated diskWhich I understand is not Mr***’s concernI would like to pay Mr***’s deposit back, however I am not sure how should I go about getting compensated for all the time and money I investedI have multiple trips I made to his residence, gas, material, consumables, engineeringHe has also threatened my father [redacted] Srthat he will “blast” our company on social mediaAgain I understand his frustration I just do not agree with his tacticsHopefully this gives you a bit more of an insight to the situation[redacted] ***The POC Studio [redacted] ***
