Very Disappointing
Dinner started out fine with two outstanding drinks & two good appetizers - margharita flatbread & shrimp cocktail. However things rapidly worsened. I like salmon & the Mediterranian coast option sounded perfect. Unfortunately it came with a blackened top, overcooked not blackened spicy & the barley risotto was salty but absolutely tasteless, It was a chore eating the salmon didn't bother with the rest. My husband was also disappointed with his main course & dessert. Had room for dessert & my favorite is creme brulee so I ordered which is hard to ruin & looked good except they must have run out of or forgotten to add vanilla.

I assumed maybe the regular chefs were on vacation but was told by the waitress the regular cooks were there,

Service and sunset view were excellent! My recommendation would be sit at the bar for drinks & appetizers avoiding main courses & desserts.

On Saturday February 6", at the end of the Poseidon [redacted] brunch service, the server in question dropped the final check in a regular book type check presenter to the customer's table.When the server came to retrieve the check to process payment, the check presenter was closed with the credit card sticking out of itSeeing the card out, the server assumed only the credit card would be used for payment and didn't open the check presenter at the table to confirm the exact payment method and they did not ask the customer how they wanted to pay the bill.The server processed the credit card and brought the check back to the table to be signed.A few moments later, the customer called the server back to the table and declared she had also left $in cash inside the check presenter with the credit card for payment.A Poseidon Floor Manager was then called to the table, listened to the customer and started his investigation with the server.He ran the servers sales report for the day, brought the server to the manager office where, with the General Manager as a witness, counted all the cash in her possession and compared it to her day's sales and there were no discrepancies.The Poseidon Floor Manager went back to the table and explained the result of the investigationThe customer expressed her disagreement in a disrespectful way, and called the police whom arrived hrs later to investigate the incident and took a report.The server accused of stealing has been a loyal and trustworthy employee and co-worker since with an exemplary record, without a complaint or issueThe Poseidon Restaurant understands that mistakes can happen and we are sorry that this situation occurred for this customer.To show our commitment to complete customer satisfaction, we will be refunding the full check amount to the guest's credit card on file.Sincerely, [redacted] General Manager

Review: I went to this restaurant for the first time and had a bad experience, but the main reason I am complaining here is due to the restaurant actually ignoring my complaint after my reaching out 4 times. First, the view was excellent but the food was not good at all, let alone to be priced so highly. When I told the waitress this, she was visibly upset and asked me if something was actually wrong with the food. I explained very nicely that I didn't like the taste of the food at all and instead of her apologizing, I ended up apologizing to her since she made me feel so bad about it and she was still upset.That experience left me with a bad impression but I let it go and told myself that I would just never return. Later, I received an email from [redacted] asking for my feedback on the restaurant, stating that it would go directly to the owners once I hit reply. I hit reply and emailed them my experience. To my surprise, over a week passed with no response or apology. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and left the same feedback via the restaurant's online contact form, which even specified that someone would get back to me shortly after I hit send. Another week passed by and still nothing. I still couldn't believe that they would ignore me, so I sent another online feedback entry, this time explaining my disappointment for not getting any response and asking if this is how they treat their customers. Shockingly, another week passes and nothing again. I then send an email asking if they got the message and no reply. Now it is obvious and I fully understand why the service was terrible, as the company itself doesn't care and won't even acknowledge complaints. Bad things happen but the way a company responds or doesn't ultimately reflects the culture.Desired Settlement: That is up to the restaurant but an acknowledgement or apology of my concerns would be the respectful thing to do.

Review: This restaurant overcharged us by charging a credit card for full amount and then taking a cash payment. Half should have been run on the credit card and plus the cash. Instead the waitress took the cash and ran the credit card for full amount. We were a group of four at the table.Desired Settlement: We would like to resolve this matter out of court.

We would like a full and sincere apology for an afternoon wasted, money stolen by waitress and a full refund.

We have been customers for over 20 years and have never experienced something like this in our lifetime. What an incredibly unprofessional way to treat good, loyal customers!

The restaurant needs to chose employees more carefully and fire the manager and waitress.

We doubt that we were the first customers cheated by [redacted].
