Review: My father purchased home owners insurance for my house while under construction for a total of three months through [redacted] located in Bayport, NY. Before the third month started, I received in the mail a bill from the Premins company for the following three months, stating if the minimum payment was not received within 10 days my policy would be cancelled. With this letter, I went back to [redacted] and tried to understand how they can cancel my policy before the three months paid upon was even over. No one in customer service had an answer so I decided to cancel my policy that day, being assured I would not be charged any additional fees. Since July, I have received 4 letters from The Premins company to collect cancellations fess of fifty seven dollars. I called The Premins company on the first letter and was very rudely directed, if the balance was not paid I would be turned into a collection agency and whatever agreement made outside the Premins company would have to be handled with the outside source. Each letter, I have went down in person to [redacted] company, handed over the letters and told it would be taken care of. It's now October and I just reviewed the Forth letter from Premins company and just want this to be "taken care of" finally.Desired Settlement: If the Premins company would still like to collect any balance due to contact [redacted] in Bayport.
