Our firm does not have a resolution to offer on this complaintMs [redacted] initially contact our firm to locate an immediate biological family member via DNAAt the time her credit card was charged, a completed family tree was delivered to her and she, as well as I, had contact with that family memberHe declined contactOur contractual obligation was satisfied although it was not the outcome Ms [redacted] had hoped forShe was also given access to an uncompleted family tree on the opposite side of the familyThree months later, Ms [redacted] removed her access to these genealogy products which had been shared to her accountShe asked that her DNA be removed from a DNA relative matching websiteI compliedShe then asked for a refund but leaving no way to address her concernsThe last contact with Ms***, she sent a text message which was received as an extortion threatOur firm does not respond to such threatsWe wish Ms [redacted] the best

Ms. [redacted] contracted with our firm on January 4, 2016 to locate her son. (See attached contract with time/date stamp summary.) Prior to signing the legally binding contract, Ms. [redacted] understood and agreed to the fee which would only be charged upon successful, confirmed location of her son.... After she submitted her contract, she indicated that she did not have the funds required to pay for services and asked for a payment plan. As a “no find, no fee” agency, search efforts can only be conducted so far until the point in which verification needs to take place. Due to the structure of “no find, no fee,” verification efforts cannot take place until which time a funding source for the ultimate payment is secured. It was not until May 20, 2016 that Ms. [redacted] offered a payment source from one of her family members. At that time, approximately four and a half months of her six-month contract had passed. Once a payment source was obtained, but not charged, verification calls commenced. At that time, the investigation had revealed four men with the correct date of birth and specifics to possibly be Ms. [redacted] ’s son. Despite repeated contact attempts, not all four of the men responded within the 45 days remaining of Ms. [redacted] ’s contract and her search contract expired. At no time was Ms. [redacted] informed that her son was located. She was informed that verification efforts were being initiated after her family member offered the payment source to fulfill Ms. [redacted] ’s original financial obligation should her search be successfully completed. Ms. [redacted] did request updates throughout the course of her search, even when she, self-reportedly, had no funds to complete her contractual obligation of her contract. Regardless of Ms. [redacted] ’s inability to pay should her son’s identity be confirmed, our contract specifically states that there will be NO updates during the course of the investigation. The executed contract states, specifically: “Due to the “no find, no fee” structure of this contract, updates are not available during the course of this contract.” The investigator had no “personal problems” which circumvented contact; simply, the contract states no updates will occur. At no time was Ms. [redacted] charged for any investigative services. Her contract expired with our firm on July 3, 2016. On September 21, 2016, a team member of our firm reached out to a relative of Ms. [redacted] ’s based upon a search inquiry that had previously been submitted regarding Ms. [redacted] ’s search for her son. It was at this time the team member was told about the previous search contract directly with Ms. [redacted] . This contact with the RevDex.com is the first notice of Ms. [redacted] ’s dissatisfaction with service rendered/how her case was handled. She did not reach out directly at any time after her contract expired. Unfortunately, Ms. [redacted] ’s case outcome is not what we hope for at The Pro Locate Team. Through a series of events beginning with Ms. [redacted] ’s execution of a legally binding contract that she had no means to financially satisfy, we were not able to handle her case in our regular manner which leads to successful completion in a timely manner. Although we had offered Ms. [redacted] the opportunity to renew her contract, her reply is, apparently, this complaint with the RevDex.com. As for the following dates in Ms. [redacted] ’s complaint, they are fictitious. Ms. [redacted] did not “purchase” any service on October 26, 2015. First contact between Ms. [redacted] and our company was December 29, 2015. Her unpaid contract was executed on January 4, 2016. In her own words, “for the first couple of months things looked promising,” which discounts the “problem occurred” date of January 25, 2016. Ms. [redacted] claims lack of communication, yet she lists that she spoke with our company on April 11, 2016; May 11, 2016; and May 24, 2016. Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meSincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: due to the fact that these people lie about contacting me and about payment. Yes I did not have the funds but when I did I tried several times to contact but no one tried or did contact. I know this will never be resolved for I know the truth what happened. I will still never use this company and will tell others not to either.Sincerely, [redacted]

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I totally understand what they said. I do not expect the impossible such as telephone calls that are not returned. The task was to locate my family, which she did. However, I wa told that she would make a call for me once I was ready. She said also that there was no time limit to making this call. She told me this verbally but also wrote in my report: "I hope that this information brings you answers to any questions you may have had regarding your biological family membersOnce you’ve had time to absorb the information, please contact me regarding the next steps you would like to take with contactBest wishes, Julie J*** Private Investigator Draven - The Pro Locate Team "I was just asking her to make one call for me to my deceased biological mother's sister, which she agreed to do. I would make this call myself but she did not supply me with the contact information necessary to make this phone call.Sincerely,*** ***

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:When *** from Draven Investigations called us saying they had been in contact with my wife's paternal grandmother we were thrilled, she said that she would send us an email summarizing the conversation. *** never made any statement about this being a report, in fact she told us she would continue her search for the biological father. It seems like *** used the paternal grandmother to try to escape the fact that she was unable to locate the biological father. *** has never spoken with us about how she feels about the situation, we have not been able to get in contact her by email or phone. A business with integrity would have contacted us and tried to make it right. It's really disheartening to see that they are dishonest with people who are searching for missing loved ones. My hope is that no one else has to experience the hurt that we went through with Draven Investigations Sincerely,*** ***

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

Ms. [redacted] contract was completely fulfilled with the locate of her mother and delivery of her detailed report. Although we do offer intermediary contact as a courtesy service it is not part of the contractual obligation. The reason being is that we can not "make" people answer their ph[redacted], call...

back from left messages or respond to e-mails or letters sent. We do make repeated attempts for contact on behalf of our clients but contact attempts are not always successful. We do encourage our clients to reach out to the person(s) they seek in a manner in which is comfortable to them if our contact attempts are not successful. We do wish Ms. [redacted] all of our best in her endeavors.

Our company will honor Ms. [redacted]'s request to never contact her again. We continue to wish her the best.

As of this date, successful contact has not yet been made with Ms. [redacted] half-brother. I did reach out to extended family members and sent Ms. [redacted] the attached amended report with additional family information including the death date of an aunt and some family medical history along with more personal details surrounding her mother's private life. As previously mentioned, unfortunately I cannot make someone return my calls or messages but many, many attempts have been made on Ms. [redacted] behalf. As the contract states, "Should the sought party be deceased, all efforts will be made to establish contact with a living relative." Now that contact has been made with a living relative of Ms. [redacted] mother, a niece, our contractual obligation has been completely fulfilled. We wish Ms. [redacted] all the best in her future endeavors and contact with her family members.

At the time of the payment for service, the client agreed to payment for the findings/report to initiate contact with the target's mother, the alleged paternal grandmother, rather than the target being sought due to his elusive lifestyle. The mother of the target stated that she...

had not heard from her in son in over 20 years and was not aware whether he was alive or dead. Multiple conversations were had in September and October of 2014 with the target's mother at the phone number provided to the client in the report furnished at the time of payment on October 18, 2014. The target’s mother still owns the home at the address provided in the report and it was suggested to the client that he and/or his wife write a letter to the target’s mother stating the reason for contact, their intentions and to include photos so that the target’s mother could see what the client’s wife looked like. The client's wife was seeking DNA confirmation that the target is her biological father. The target’s mother indicated that she would be willing to provide DNA although she did not believe her son could have fathered a child due to a childhood injury which precluded him from pro-creating as well as discussing the lifestyle choice of the client's wife's mother at the time of the conception.  As much as we would like resolution for our client's family, the client agreed to contact with the target’s mother to complete my company's contractual obligation which then closed the 90-day contract. While we agree and understand that this sensitive issue is of the utmost importance to our client, we cannot force a person to speak with, or respond to, another person. Our contractual obligation had been satisfied within the 90-day contract initiated on September 29, 2014. The client’s contract states: "I am fully aware that I will still be responsible for paying Draven Investigations the full amount for this search, regardless of whether or not the person(s) I am searching for is deceased or desires to not have contact with me. Should the sought party be deceased, all efforts will be made to establish contact with a living relative."  As of the date of this response, another report was run on the target's mother which confirmed that the information provided in the report at the time of payment is still valid. We wish our client the best.

Our firm does not have a resolution to offer on this complaint. Ms. [redacted] initially contact our firm to locate an immediate biological family member via DNA. At the time her credit card was charged, a completed family tree was delivered to her and she, as well as I, had contact with that family...

member. He declined contact. Our contractual obligation was satisfied although it was not the outcome Ms. [redacted] had hoped for. She was also given access to an uncompleted family tree on the opposite side of the family. Three months later, Ms. [redacted] removed her access to these genealogy products which had been shared to her account. She asked that her DNA be removed from a DNA relative matching website. I complied. She then asked for a refund but leaving no way to address her concerns. The last contact with Ms. [redacted], she sent a text message which was received as an extortion threat. Our firm does not respond to such threats. We wish Ms. [redacted] the best.
